How to make it long?

I had a really nasty experience when I was fourteen. I went to 'Oz Comic Con' dressed as Jinx from arcane, and when I was walking around the venders hall, some man started following my friends and I. He then approached us and said something along the lines of "I bet those braids are good in bed." (My jinx wig was roughly 70" long). Thank god an older attendee was nearby, they walked with us and reported the dude to staff. But that was kinda a scary experience, especially as a fourteen year old.

i just started trying to cosplay and ive been making props and so far ive only made a hat for nikolai gogol and i dont own any cosplays or outfits but im really scared to tell my mom that i like to cosplay because shes kinda not really nice or accepting about things rn im trying to make mikans syringe and i looked up tips for props and cosplaying and i came across this it really helps me but i still have some questions, as a 12 abt to turn 13 year old cosplayer and prop maker where can i buy good cosplay props or outfits or just cheap cosplay stuff from, i barley have any money and idk what to do bc my brother keeps stealing my money and i really wanna be a cosplayer ive wanted to for almost 7 years now. so if you guys have any recommendations PLEASE tell me or help me out ive tried ali express and im really working hard to try and find cheap cosplay props even when i dont have a credit card or a debit card idk what to do! but that is a question for the creator if yk any good places that have cheap cosplay stuff or any websites or recommendations PLEASE SHARE THEM but thats it thanks for reading if you did1

As someone who has cosplayed at school. These tips are great! All these things are exactly what you need to think about before bringing a costume to school. Luckily I'm part of my school's media tech program so we've actually used my suit of armor in films before! Overall these things are great and one thing I would add especially if your costume has your face obstructed is PLEASE talk to your school ADMINS before doing any of that! they will appreciate it and it helps keep them in the know before someone yk. calls the police.

These were great tips!id say at any age - don’t compare yourself to others, just have fun. And definitely give credit to really well made outfits - but that’s not a reflection on you

When you say characters appropriate for our age,does that mean characters with revealing outfits or more adult animes in general.Cause for example Im 16 and one of my favorite cosplays is like Power or Makima from Chainsaw Man(even though the anime is for a bit older watchers) Their outfits are pretty simple and not revealing at all, so i hope people won't think its weird since i love to cosplay them so much

As a cosplay mom I want to add - Maybe finding a trusted adult before the convention who goes there or lives nearby might be great Either family members that live nearby when the con is not near your home and you go without your parents. And don't be afraid to ask convention helpers when something is wrong. Yes, they have to do many things, but they're also there to make sure, that visitors are safe.
