Best 80s startup: Sega Master System (never played any Sega consoles but wow, those old Sega startups are groovy!) Best 90s startup: PS1 (pure nostalgia and bliss!) Best 2000s startup: GameCube (easily, it's ICONIC) Best modern era startup: Retroid Pocket 2+ (giving me that GBA nostalgia!)

This is a very comprehensive list and I like watching it for the preservative value. It's been in my Liked list for weeks by this point. Only today have I realised that there are subtitles. And the comments that occasionally come up are completely busting me up. The CDi ones are my favourites because there is a lot of time between the two clips in which a very stupid joke was planted and allowed to sprout. We're dealing with an expert.

2013-2019 is wrong. Every Mac from around 2000 onwards had the higher pitch startup until 2018, the release of the T2 chip, created the new sound. In 2020, Big Sur gave every MacBook and Mac Pro mid 2013 onwards and every iMac mid 2014 onwards the new lower pitch sound.
