Fantastic performance, one of the best versions of the Willan that I've ever heard. David Briggs is at the top of his form and the Walker instrument is far and away the finest digital organ I have ever heard. Wish I could hear it in person.

Wonderful!!! Huge piece, great accomplishment. Even though tremolos and timpani are absent, it sounds great. Congratulations, hope to hear you live one day.

Too bad tourists don’t know what’s uptown! If they go northwest Central Park, they will see this place! St. Patrick’s cathedral southeast park, St. John divine northwest park.

Thanx a lot for sharing! This year (2024) we're celebrating Bruckners 200. birthday, so i'm playing a shortened transcription from Vinzenz Goller (1937), which is only 11 minutes long.

Wonderful improvisation, Mr. Briggs! Clearly a fabulous organ, that you have a deep history with. Did you play the Reger on it that you first heard? I love the unorganized look of those long throw drawknobs when you have only some drawn.

You did it beautifully, also showcasing the organ. The action is a bit atmospherically noisy but the brilliance of the flutes is still wonderful. The improvisation does remind me more of Duruflé's Suite than of Cocherau, which is of course also a compliment. All the best and keep enjoying!! Greetings from Rens, The Netherlands, currently in the Hautes Alpes, France

The first C-C I ever played (much earlier in the 70s than you, David!) It was an evil beast- but what a wonderful evil beast!! My truly pathetic efforts were very kindly commended by Andre Isoir, who was patiently waiting to practice for a recording (I felt very, very humble...)

Thank you so much for playing this piece David. It is one I love with a passion. Am sure you needed a lie down afterwards and were suitably exhausted after this wonderful performance! Is there any chance at all you could play Maurice Duruflé's Choral Varié sur le thème du Veni Creator Op.4 - another staunch favourite of mine and perhaps in keeping with the conjuring of devout prayer that the piece Litanies brings??

This is totally beyond my comprehension. How does this work? Twp minds and skills applied to - evolving ideas that somehow run in a syncretic direction? All I can do is enjoy the flow and that is actually enough.

Restoration of the fine organ is excellent. It suffered a heart attack few years back, worthy "bypass" and recovery. WIDOR is a killer to play. Exponential ELEGANCE! It's rarely seen these days.
