almost all these diy projects use the dot leds. Why is that? It would looks so much cooler if the light was a solid beam. Sort of like an Anthony James art piece. I guess those kind of leds lights are difficult to come by?

Sure about needing to do it on both sides?... and all four corners? LOL, couldnt just not comment on that. But.. Its just like making a finger ring | a slice of pipe→4-8-16-32 edges. But the cork belt was a very usefull tip -guessing some people also benifit from knowing to finish one task/operation completely before moving on to the next, the "sandy/mist" surface to look for is a very nice tip/goal But what if the roundings arent as "easy" to machine? -like both concave and conveks corners? -or like a snowman-cut in the center?? -is it then a handtool-grinder slowely from the hole and slowely out? Thinking glass is amorpheous makes me believe that it could be done with chemicals to make the cutting line more porous before cutting(scratching and breaking-not cutting)? True or false? Or could it be done on a CNC* milling machine with a hard numb toolbit(et. diamond)? (real cutting) *CNC cuz they have(or is it "it has" when 3rd person?) complete controle of any motion(speed,feed,direction) as opposed to conventional.

It would have been nice if you would have said what date each new backing or technique was introduced. Like what year did the industry start using aluminum? Was it patented? When? When did they start using silver instead of mercury? Etc. Thank you. 🙏🏼👍🏼❤️

So dichroic plastic filters and dichroic glass jewlery also work the same way and they are cheaper, with many thin films of SiO2 and TiO2 deposited on top of each other. I wonder what makes professional dichroic mirrors more expensive, is it precision of the thickness of the coating layers down to the level of a nanometer? Does laboratory dichroic glass reflect a single wavelength? Does cheaper dichroic glass used in decorations reflect a wider range of wavelengths?
@twowaymirrors2 ай бұрын
Our dichroic glass also has an optical coating on it that removes the "double image" commonly found on other types of glass! This allows for a sharper reflection!

Good presentation, especially about tempered 3mm getting warpage. I do have a trick I use sometimes to eliminate warpage although it can increase the cost. I temper anything from 19mm down to 3mm. Anything 10mm and up gets virtually zero warpage. Those applications are generally going to be shower doors, big store fronts, and marine windows.
