Great Video! I just ordered the Peregrine with AI yesterday, so this is perfect timing. Thanks for the Video!

Your welcome - it is an awesome dive computer - we got a couple in here at the shop and the Peregrine TX footprint is exactly the same. I was expecting it to be a bit bigger.
@sfiron7 ай бұрын
The weight setup is unclear to me. It seems not enough room for weights. I dive with 2 six pound weights in my BCD pockets(using Hydros pro) and 2lb on the tanks. Why 5lb? No one has those weights. It’s 2 or 4 if you are lucky, usually only 6 and 8lb at the clubs
@scubashackct7 ай бұрын
Sorry for the delay in response. Many years ago Halcyon offered larger pockets on the waist band but stopped. You can add two or four trim tab pockets on the tank bands - each trim tab pocket can take an additional 5 pounds. This BC is designed for warm water diving where lighter exposure protection is needed, thus less weight. If 5 pound weights are not available, we sometimes combine a 2 and 3. Hope this helps.

@@scubashackct Thanks. Yes. Already found out. Above all I have to say this brand has a marketing issue. From unusual design(5lb weight pockets), to poorly executed sales effort. It’s very hard to find current data about Halcyon’s products. The results speaks for themselves: as one major sales rep for a store in Copenhagen told me “I sell 100 XDeep BC for each Halcyon”. And halcyon needs special order. It’s a shame. Wonderful products.

Is the screen on the Perdix AI as bright as the Teric?
@scubashackct10 ай бұрын
My experience with the Perdix AI is that the screen is bright and very easy to read when diving in low light environments. When comparing to the Teric there is a level of subjectivity as the display is smaller than the Perdix. Subjectively I would say Yes it is as bright as the Teric

@@scubashackct Thanks for the quick response. I heard from Shearwater that they're going to have a hard time getting parts for the Perdix in the future.
@scubashackct10 ай бұрын
Have not heard that about the Perdix. I just talked to them at Boston Sea Rovers and they did not indicate any supply chain issues. Their new Tern and Tern TX are pretty cool though if you are in the market for a watch style. I prefer the larger profile however. I also have a Peregrine as a backup and really like it.@@jodeci888

I just purchased a bottle of this to try and apply it on my Airsoft Mask and my glasses to see how itll work out on the field. I figured if it can keep the fog out when diving in cold water then it should work running around in the cold.

Why make a video that does not show the product? It doesn't spark much interest if you can't see what it is or does

Simple green corrodes aluminum. We’re not allowed to use it at work on aircraft parts. We use a medical grade degreaser powered with water that works wonders. Then we oven dry components.

Cdr. Raymer's book was an excellent and unique account of a Navy Salvage Diver's experiences from post Pearl Harbor attack to Tulagi, Guadalcanal, and back to Pearl Harbor. This was a thoroughly fascinating and interesting account of the horrors, the joys, and the challenges he and his fellow divers faced on a daily basis.

Can a tank that hasn’t been previously used for nitrox, be cleaned and used for nitrox?

Yes - you can properly clean a tank for use in nitrox. There are standards that we follow from PSI-PCI on how to clean and prepare a scuba cylinder for Nitrox blending.

Not so sure about the value propulsion of the Nautilus when compared to today modern offering like my Garmin inReach mini in a dive case. Remember the Nautilus is relying on marine radios. Depending on where you dive this isn't always going to be a practical or reliable solution. The Garmin inReach mini truly is much more capable of a device across activities, sites and varied location and can send txt message via satellite when there is no cellular coverage. Cheers, #SeattleRingHunter
