Exactly. The Malibu would easily lose to the Regal GS if stock, but both of them are smooth rides regardless.

Shift fastest and and u can land lift and it’s because the redlines are lower then the 8500 to 9k rpm lift comes in harder at 6 which is better just up the rev limit to 8500 and it lands lift even with bad shifts

A tune can get rid of that problem.

Malibu's look good modified if done right and if the customer has great taste, but outside of that turning it into a rally vehicle is a bad idea. The reliability will drop like an egg.

The Regal GS has selective ride control that stiffens the suspension, reduces power steering and enhances throttle response in GS mode. The Malibu has your run of the mill plain-jane suspension found in the normal Regal Turbo. Not to mention it has Brembo brakes (huge difference on track compared to malibus regular brakes) and looks 500x better than the Malibu inside and out. Oh yea...plus you can get the regal in a manual! "Autos are more consistent", yea maybe new autos but the old GM 6-speed is a pig shifting. You literally just making stuff up because you own a Malibu? Nobody in their right mind is tracking a Malibu. Only argument is the Malibu is slightly lighter and has the same engine, so stock for stock it may win in a straight line. The GS would eat the Malibu on a road coarse based on what I just explained above.

@Maddie K Many can track a Malibu if they choose, many things included in the Malibu is Chassis control technologies include StabiliTrak electronic stability control, with full-function traction control, electronic brake force distribution, brake assist system, corner brake control, and hydraulic brake assist. Steering also auto stiffens in hard cornering. There's literally a sensor in the center of the car that when you bank a corner hard it will distribute power to the correct wheel and brake any 1 or more of the wheels to keep traction.

Do you have proof of this? Because I see Malibu's all the time on top of reliability lists and great reviews so I have no clue what you are talking about. The Malibu is better than most of the cars being released today that can't go a week or two without breaking down with a bunch of technology in it. Better than these ugly and unreliable EVs too. 😂

@The Real VR that's not true at all. you can get into the 13's with headers, cat delete, cold air intake, jmod and a marty tune. That all i have done to mine. 💪🏻

@The Real VR if your car is only doing a 14.5 with 400 hp. Then you need gears and a jmod. The jmod alone can shave off at least a second.

@The Real VR what gears do you have in the differential. I have 3.55 gears. A stock crown vic will typically come with either 3.27 if it is the sport or civilian model. All town cars come with 3.27. But i run a 225 45/17 so that changes my gear ratio to about a 3.55 ratio.
