Airlines should provide rows with oversized seats. We're not cattle! I've flown numerous times when I was younger. I'm 6'2" and 200 lbs. I'm not overweight for my height, but I've never been comfortable in airplane seats. They are way too small! When I was flying, I only weighed 180 lbs, and yet I was still very uncomfortable. You are shoulder to shoulder with the person next to you, and it's very claustrophobic.

I am 65 and in good shape. I have been on hundreds of flights and never had an issue with fitting in a seat on any of them. If people want to push extra food down their throats and become fat then they need to accept the consequences.
@briansivley20017 ай бұрын
I've known people who are at a healthy weight and even they're saying that seats on airplanes have gotten smaller since they deregulated the airlines. So while yes it's the obese people fault for not fitting it's also the airlines fault for only caring about money and not the safety of their customers.

If you're spilling over into another seat, by two seats. That's for people up to 350. Anyone over 350, can't fly. Establish personal weight limits for safety. Planes have limitations.

Then DON'T FLY , better yet, LOSE WEIGHT!!! Or, if they do make special seats for fat people, that seat needs to cost more to account for the loss of the other passenger who would be paying for another ticket.

Yet another issue posted on social media to divide people by extremist perspectives... Can we not ALL agree on a few things: 1. There's a BIG difference between a little overweight vs. being a LOT (obese) overweight. 2. There's a BIG difference between being active & healthy vs. being VERY (obsessed) with fitness. 3. That most people don't exist in either of these extremes. Are many people slightly overweight? Yup, I know I am and it varies on the time of the year... But my varying levels of health have difference impacts on me and those around me... When I'm overweight far more than I should be for my age/size/body-type, I don't feel good about myself, I get more sensitive about my weight, and I *DO* need to get serious about my health...those same experiences apply to everyone when they're more overweight than they ought to be (you can even see it in this video)... But when I'm close to my ideal weight and eating healthy, exercising & playing sports regularly, and following a fairly disciplined routine, I couldn't care less what a health nut has to say about my body. Different ''degrees'' of fitness, weight, and lifestyle SHOULD elicit slightly different responses from ourselves...and from others. So the ''fat'' people are correct in saying we don't need to all look the same - but just like an extreme fitness nut who doesn't understand healthy balance of fitness & lifestyle - the same applies to 'fat' people who don't understand a few pounds overweight (and being ok with that) isn't the same thing as 60+lbs overweight and insisting you're just as healthy as the person who's 16lbs overweight...

Should fat people have to pay for three seats well to be fair once you get too big all of your weight is going to most likely kill you soon enough anyway so therefore the problem naturally sort of solves itself to some extent when we're talking about certain degrees of morbid obesity.

I am sick and tired of hearing about black women's hair, all the whinging and whining about how difficult it is to manage bull shit. It's only difficult to manage because you faff about with it too much and try to make it do things it's not supposed to. I know a very nice black woman who never moans about her hair, she keeps it fairly short and it stays in place unlike white people's hair that really is harder to manage, just look at Boris Johnsons hair. Now black women, as a white man with thin blonde hair that never stays in place let me educate you as to how you can easily have easy to manage hair. Just take inspiration from your vaginas. Most black women have pubic hair that stays in place so just cut the hair on your head to the same length as the hair on your growler and all will be good.

I don't understand the problem. Large SUVs use more gas. Large people eat more food. Large houses consume more energy. Rich people pay more taxes. There's a price to pay for the amount of space you take up. Humanity doesn't place that price upon you. Physics does. Limit your footprint and stop complaining.
@alyssamoore36262 жыл бұрын
Planes have weight limits, and weight has to be distributed in a particular way. There are fees for having too much luggage, because it means more work for staff and less room/weight avail. for other passengers. It isn't your fault if I overpack and take up extra space, and you shouldn't be penalized for my heavy luggage- so why should ppl who fit the airline seat have to be penalized on behalf of those who don't fit? I'm not skinny, and I've been bigger (196lbs at my heaviest). I love food. I'm just saying that physics doesn't care about your feelings. It isn't a value judgement to say "You are too heavy and/or wide to fit safely into one plane seat," any more than it is a value judgment to turn someone away from an amusement park ride due to their height or weight making the ride unsafe for them and others around them.

I think it’s up to you is you don’t care your unhealthy then good for you. You may be 62 but when you die I guarantee weight loss is going to be a major part of it though. Do what you want and mind your own business that’s the problem. Worry about people who want to get healthy if they dont want to then who cares let them. Leave them alone. Everyone should mind their own business that’s all I have to say.

FAT IS DISEASE. My father (who had good genes) made it to 80 obese--then it caught up with him. Diabetes, blindness, Alzheimer's; only thing he didn't get was cardiovascular problems (probably because he walked a lot--but he was on statins and hypertension drugs with nasty side effects). So his quality of life the last ten years was TERRIBLE, and all the diseases were fat-based. Fat WILL get you--and the younger you are when you get fat, the faster you'll die and the harder it is to get it off and keep it off. The unhealthiness of fat has NOTHING TO DO with fat-shaming. TWO SEPARATE ISSUES.
@JOHN----DOE2 жыл бұрын
Talk about first world problems. People who travel solo have to pay more for rooms on ships and in hotels than couples do. Why shouldn't excessively large people have to pay more for larger seats? You take up more of a resource, you pay for it, especially if you could control yourself and get thinner (I did, permanently, 40 lb. worth). Some KZbin videos feature people who had "come to Diet" moments when they were embarrassed trying to fit into airplane seats and finally lost the weight. Give personal responsibility a try. Or pay for your indulgences.
@ressesdave22502 жыл бұрын
Well if u fit two seats than you pay for two seats. If u have a kid u pay for your kid even though he can't pay ok his own. I can't pay for 2 seats for the price of one if I want my child or friend to come on the plane wirh me
