I do not see this version of the 2 in 1 adapter on your website or on ebay. Is it still available?
@MikesArcadecom6 ай бұрын
It was briefly. They keep changing how these CHAMMA bootleg boards work and it is almost impossible to keep up. The hardest part is getting the actual pinouts of 2 different boards to always work together. This Double JAMMA allows configuring the last button 6 as a ground or button, per slot. The more you support, the harder it is to configure.

Do you know why that certain video RAM 2114 at that certain address range would cause the display to be 0's and 1's? because there is multiple video RAM chips but that certain video RAM when it goes bad or corrupted it causes the video to be 0's and 1's

I don't know why, I just know it does!

@TrolleyMC6 ай бұрын
probably a failure inside the chip's address decoding, no matter what you address you just get the same area of memory.
@waynegram89076 ай бұрын
@@TrolleyMC I didn't know that RAM chips had an internal address decoder built inside the RAM chip
@TrolleyMC6 ай бұрын
@@waynegram8907 well you have to figure out internally what "1F" leads to inside the RAM chip, specifically which memory cells correlate to that address. I could be wrong on that but I imagine that the RAM chip isn't storing a faulty "0" character inside every single cell, so it's more likely a failure in address decoding.

Super cool! Looks to be a bootleg of Nichibutsu's Moon Cresta (which also ran on Galaxian hardware). I doubt Nintendo had anything to do with this particular game, but Fortrek did release a sequel to Nintendo's Space Firebird called Space Demon. Maybe they sold this game as another sequel?

When the Sprites are Stuck not moving or stuck in the upper park of the screen it can be either bad H&V counters, bad Video RAM chips or bad logic gates on the data buss? When a sprite is duplicated on the screen mostly its bad video RAM chips?

What types of various tests can you do to test for bad sockets?
@MikesArcadecom6 ай бұрын
Pretty much eyeball em, or wiggle the chip in them. Generally the chip will be loose or you can visually see a problem. You could use a meter on each pin, but that doesn't guarantee they are good.
