Hi, I just wanted to ask if I wanted to do eBay reselling & freelancing from home, would I need to register them separately on the HMRC website or just register myself as a sole trader? I have turnover £90 thousand last year October 2023 but I have registered VAT only yesterday when I found out with my accountant. I’m a limited company. I know I will probably pay a huge penalty fine. Can I still claim back VAT from my clients? I haven’t received VAT registration number yet

@@xChikyx there isn’t a process explicitly for registering for your company taxes, provided you have your tax reference numbers either you or your Accountant should be able to file your tax returns when due.

Extremely helpful!! I called Companies House and the man l was spoke to was impatient and condescending. He gave me around 4 minutes of instructions which didn’t even lead to me getting the name change sorted. I then did a search and clicked on your video. You made it simple and straightforward and easy to understand. It was like he was deliberately trying to make a simple issue difficult. God continue to bless you. Thank you 🙏🏾

I think you need to adjust the settings on your camera to fucos on you and not the background. It's slightly off. I have a full time job and also freelance on sites like Upwork, I have made over 1k on my freelance side hustle, do you have any package that is suitable to help me sort out registration, taxes and other accounting pieces?

I thought it would make sense to because I am already spending money on my business, which I would like to be factored in when my taxes are calculated later. Oh, sucks. These changes are still not enough to stop fraud. For example, Last year, In my town, we had an idividual who, over a 4 month period, registered around 600 temporary employment agency companies at one accomodation address in the town. These companies were then systematically transferred to different persons of significant control in the Philippines and the company names changed. Some of these companies are now due accounts/confirmation statements and either file a small loss in the accounts with ficticious number of workers (e.g. 5 or 6) or file for voluntary strike-off. There is no genuine economic activity with any of these companies. Apparantly, the individual concerned calls this a 'Tax Efficiency Scheme'. Companies House are not fit for purpose and seem to do little to stop fraud.
