Smart phones are so instant and portable, true. But us retro oldies have trouble with the small displays and micro virtual keyboards, requiring Z generation rapid thumbs (or Elon Musk’s “meat sticks” label). This is the price of “progress” and at least we can have the best of both worlds, if we choose………

Yes, Jordan Peterson is over invested on the Right Wing but I have found his work is Great Genius when you come to incorporate it in your Life. And he has helped and influenced so Many. But, Rory, you are a wide spectrum genius and thinker, like Sam Harris. And you bring a light hearted, enthusiastic approach to speaking - it is a joy to listen to your flowing talks. Well done, keep it up!

My advice as an autistic man is to accept your needs as ok even if they're different. Mathematically it's likely you are not the only person on the planet with that need. I have felt guilty from my needs but until I let go of apologising for my differences and accepting the way I need to live as perfectly fine did I stop focusing on my diagnosis and like this young man says can focus on my talents.

Thank you so much for this conversation - I really enjoyed it! I wanted to offer some honest feedback, shared with the best intentions: I found your hand-raising to ask questions both endearing and distracting. I wanted to hear Veda finish her thoughts, but there were many times when she was interrupted. I hope you take this as constructive feedback, offered with care and respect. I absolutely loved Veda’s point about the importance of our intention when receiving water. It's not about drinking the "best" water, but rather about our relationship to water. How a simple thank you spoken with love and kindness allows water to share its wisdom with us. The power is with us and in our relationship with water.

26:42 Your description of the experience sounded more like depersonalisation rather than what Ken actually meant. Depersonalising will make it feel like you are separate to all phenomena around you, as if you have put on a VR headset and you aren't really there. You feel disconnected to it all. It is as if everything you experience is your Outside. This feels unpleasant. What Ken is talking about is when you experience everything around you as your Inside! You feel connected to it all. This feels pleasant. This is a totally different phenomenon. I recommend you get a proper meditation teacher if you want to practice this stuff, so you don't accidentally meditate your way into a dissociative disorder. I'm surprised Ken didn't mention this. Hope that helps!
@tfspod
@tfspod Ай бұрын
Thanks for that note! I will make sure that when I am meditating, the oneness/wholeness I am focusing on is inside me > that feeling that I am part of everything > seeing that everything is connected. Am I on the right path?

I really want to support her. If she got the shark investment after accusing her "gold digger" saying that shark's investment to her is to market her product. Then it would make her to look guilty of those accusations. That is the reason, she has rejected all those offers and got emotional in the air. I really endorse her very strongly.

Gee, between Ken Wilbur and Dr. Seuss, I'd read Seuss as he has actual experience of what he's talking about. As soon as this guy mentioned the impossibility of 'reincarnation', and started babbling about Love and 'feeling it', I knew. I'm grateful that this was in the description thus saving me from wasting a valuable 2+ hours! Oh, re; reincarnation, learn some science; "The Laws of Nature are not rules controlling the metamorphosis of what is, into what will be (ie; Karma). They are descriptions of patterns that exist, all at once... " - Genius; the Life and Science of Richard Feynman All 'eternity' at once; Here! Now!! And Love; Anyone can be 'Saved/Enlightened'!; "Born again" into the state of Unconditional Love = Salvation = Enlightenment = Heaven = Immortality = One with God! THIS is how we Know if it is real Love! We are already in Heaven! No doubt! No 'feelings' necessary! "Heaven is at hand!" - Jesus Here! Now! Anything else is Hell! Unconditional Love is ALWAYS Known by It's Unconditional Virtues; Compassion, Empathy, Sympathy, Gratitude, Humility, Charity (Charity is never taking more than your share of anything, ever!), Honesty, Happiness, Faith... ALWAYS! This is how OTHERS know you are Saved/Enlightened in the space of unconditional Love! "What a man loves, he is. If he loves a stone he is that stone, if he loves a person he is that person, if he loves God - nay, I durst not say more; were I to say, he is God, he might stone me. I do but teach you the scriptures." - Meister Eckhart “Your task is not to seek for Love, but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it.” - Rumi As soon as I heard this character claim to be "the Einstein of Consciousness" (accept it in the title) I knew he must be a huckster! Ewwww. I guess the sheep were made for shearing. That doesn't bespeak any 'love' though, other than love of money.

K, I'll bite, lol You demonstrate victim/savior complex than something productive, sorry to say. We all have it, I'm not above it, I've been working on mine for years and I do lean into it from time to time especially when commenting for fun, but I'm aware of it. So this is not to 1-up you, but to just tell you to be aware of it so you can work on it as it might be holding back your progress. Why I think you have a savior complex? 1. Belittling those who are open enough to listen as "sheep" . It's textbook. When you have a habit of actively seeking weakness in others, it gives you a place of importance, you can therefore proceed to save that person. You need suffering and weakness around you to thrive. 2. Being a know-it-all. It's not about your accumulated information that makes you a know-it-all, but being close minded to listen to what others have to say. 3. You are out to change the world. You don't realize no ones any special, not you, not me, the so called "enlightened" you have mentioned are not special. They are all incapable of telling you what your consciousness really is. If they did, there wouldn't be any further discussion necessary. They have an experience of something beyond and can only point you to it. The very idea of the source or God being unconditional love is still a belief , a good belief that makes life here better for everyone. Yet, that is still mind stuff , nothing can describe the source or God. One could make a fair case of God just being a child with an ant farm and that would be true as well. So before you criticize anything, know that your comment has no weight in comparison to the lifetime of contributions Ken Wilber has made. He provides effective tools to understand consciousness, but just like any mystic or messiah, it serves only as a pointer, the rest of the journey is yours to make. You don't have to like it, but why deny his right to speak? Many authors sell pointless young adult explicit novels and make millions, so what's the worst his work has done to anyone for you to have such a dramatic outburst? lol So please learn psychology and work on your inner child, heal your trauma, it will help.

Nameless, leofeng & Ken Wilber all have some truth. AQUAL which I believe Ken co created has been very helpful www.google.com/search?client=ms-android-motorola-rvo3&sca_esv=332c1457e26e21ac&sxsrf=ADLYWILBbEBySjwED4h5E5vcgjGYG9z-sg:1732267543002&q=ken+wilber+integral+theory&udm=2&fbs=AEQNm0B3WNFCYvaBrNDHYAL-6rQS6KYCfg7rXRKIwBLvFbxOrU_ptJEeGAEeqTAWwzj5eCmMm9boQq34IjMEGy-_9lXWtuDKQ9w9jn699phcEFwTxmOxWNSTYuOH3iTbNo7M8lTHjMYawKXebIHUDcrUpkZCIlAYuaBAWCqfgPhCrB_nDwdJslCnuz0H7j2v_tfG_KwE4GfE9eRF8MFC4-AEHzf_jZ8c37cYWA8Z8j6Ywi2aPz3BuFQ&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwj1ubm8z--JAxWZLtAFHUJ7HZ4QtKgLegQIJRAB&biw=509&bih=977&dpr=2.13 his various books. Nameless' statements do not account for this. Nameless' identification of love by Nameless writing is more clear. Honestly I don't expect someone to always be great at identifying explaining and communicating everything. So Nameless' explanation of love, with various quotes is helpful. Ken Wilbers theories can help people become aware of different levels and stages of consciousness and growth. We don't all have to agree.
