The C&O stopped using their own track age east into St.Thomas in the mid 80s and lifted the rail. Probably 5 or 6 years removed when this was filmed

The 1290 frequency had been used by CKSL in London up until September 12, 1964 when it moved to 1410 kHz. CJOE-AM signed on January 25, 1965. CJOE became CJBK September 6, 1972.
