I just bought one a week ago. Is it safe for the heat sink to be touching like a plastic part of the car are they prone in melting plastics?Currently its touching the body of my battery, not the top part.

Hey James! I bought two LED strips (run brake turn). Positive wire, negative wire, turn wire. The right strip works fine through all operations. Both lights run a startup sequence, then a constant taillight, brake operates fine. When I use my left blinker and then turn it off, the strip does it's startup sequence again but instead of going back to a constant taillight it just loops the start up sequence constantly. Again, the right one is fine completely.

I know those was 4 years ago. But those 4 sided led are the worse led and has obviously the worse performing beam pattern ever. They are unsafe to use them in a headlights. Yes they are bright but there’s no hotspot and it’s less bright than halogen. Any 3 sides, 4 sides, or multi-sides will never work on a headlight. Always use a thin narrow body with 2 sided led bulbs: they perform way bette than those garbage led bulbs.

Hello, I have a question. I see you have replaced the bulb socket terminals on the Denso ballast. What type of solder do those cables have? With common tin can it support the tension? Or how have you done it? Thank you.

These are way better than the regular 2700k bulbs and last just as long as other brands. 2700k = Soft White 3000k = Warm White 4100k = Cool White 5000k = Daylight

These only draw *half* the power of a halogen H7 (2.1A vs 4.5A), to me that's a huge benefit to people like me on a motorcycles moving to LED to conserve power. There are more powerful H7 LED's out there but it comes at the cost of extra power consumption. And considering factory H7 halogen are typically approx 2000 lumens these are still way brighter. So I don't understand this "review" without putting them into a headlight to see how they perform

this piece of shit, after about a year, starts to burn out, and after 1-2-3 LEDs they start blinking, very poor cooling, they burn out. now only 3x3 LEDs light up in the headlight from the turn. and the white light shines only 5 pieces, in general I do not recommend it.

Also I assume most people have figured out that they mostly list the total wattage for the two ballasts combined. So if you see a 150 watt hid ballast set it’s probably 75 watts each, if it’s 300 watts, then it’s 150 watts per ballast.

@roochiecooch
@roochiecooch Жыл бұрын
Don’t know if it’s a requirement but many of the kits that sell 75 watts per ballast or more, also use ceramic bulb bases, glass and metals for the build materials. I figure this is so they don’t melt the bulb base and destroy the output characteristics. But I also wonder how well these would do in housings for more than say 15 mins at a time. Because I imagine that these would heat up a headlight housing or a projector, very very hot! EDIT: I realized that he mentioned the ceramic based bulbs midway through the video lol. So my comment matters much less. Glad he brought that up since they get very hot!

I only go for lasfit T-7440A led turn signal bulbs and GTR Lighting - Carbide series 2.0. Both are same with different prices and finishes. But LivTee makes these? They look the same as lasfit.

I’m sorry but those are not the best led bulbs. Those are the WORSE 360 degree led bulbs. Yes they are bright but, with a beam pattern it makes, and the brightness in a real world light, it’s not a safe choice to get one. I’m sure u know this few years later but I’m just letting u know, anyone that are considering buying one. Don’t. Anyone that already has one, get rid of it. U need a small led chip, that’s a two sided. That meets the size of the halogen filament coil. And a right size of the heatsink/fan. Stay away from 3/4 sides and 360 degree led bulbs.

Hey James, wondering if there is such thing as an amber hid bulb in h8 form factor? Looking for roughly the same color as the high pressure sodium street lamps
@greenalien8503

If you get an HID bulb that's rated for 3000k at 35watts, and run it through a 55watt ballast, the color will shift downwards and give off a strong yellow orange color, should be able to find them in H8 size

Its just ridiculous because the FDA site (of course KZbin won't permit me to even mention anything approaching a link, or my post will disappear) states, "UVC lamps are regulated only as an electronic product, there are currently no specific FDA performance standards that apply." So in other words, manufacturers are only required to make UV sanitizers safe. They are under no obligation to actually sell a working product. And the public doesn't demand it, so, good luck not being scammed.

DOT in US has the minimum as 21 watts on a halogen turn signal bulb. Can-Bus does is not able to trick every BCM made, all car manufacturers have their own computer systems. Most European (high end) will require a resistor for turn signals and most crucial lighting for safety. My BMW will report every switch-out I have tried..... even with Can-bus I had to find an LED that put out minimum 40 "real" watts for headlights . Volvo is similar but they don't monitor any interior light, reverse lights or side markers ... I believe it's because these are available from factory as LED upgrade. Side note..... Is it just me or have car lights ..front and back begun to look like a carnival show these days. What is the purpose (other than blinding the crap out of on-coming drivers) to have DRLs on at night .... you know the weird eye lids that offer no function other than look at me ...Kia has gone full clown show with the whole grill lighting up. I don't know if laws have changed but in the 80's -90's you could only have 2 headlight bulbs and some states allowed fogs only if it was foggy. I see cars especially pickups with Amber cab lights, LED light bars in the grill, fogs, DRL's, under-body glow kits and rock crawlers, extra strobing brake lights, side step lights, I even see cars with blue and purple as headlights. I find it hilarious and also blinding ....... this will get regulated eventually. A couple cop friends of mine have answered with... "Like we don't have enough crap to deal with now-days"
