What’s incredible is how full circle this moment is for me right now. He was my first percussion director in middle school. And now I’m watching these videos to gather resources for my students as I became a percussion teacher recently. If you’re seeing this, I hope you’re doing well!

When you think of metal drummers and their kits, what makes of drums do you normally associate them with? Tama, Pearl, and in more recent years, DW. But Yamaha? Perish the thought. Tommy's been a longtime artist and endorser for the drums. They can take the beating (pun intended) and ask; "Is that the best you got?" 😆

Raising the stand up to where the conductor appears at the very top of the stand makes it easier to see cues.
