Yeah. He's turned into so much, so the death seemed so stupid. He could have turned into energy and just absorbed the energy, or maybe become intangible, or teleported away before the energy even entered his mouth, etc. It doesn't make sense that he'd just die when he's done so many other things. Some things seem a little amusing at times, like evolving into a sponge to survive a nervous system-destroying blast. Since his body has absorbed and digested bullets in the past, I don't understand why his body couldn't have just absorbed the energy somehow.
