Here from New Zealand. This video came up randomly on my playlist so thought I'd give it a watch. 5 hours old at this point. To be honest though, the thumbnail looked like a prisoner wearing an orange jumpsuit was singing a song 😂. Was listening to "Six60" songs. So looks like KZbin thinks you fit into that genre. Great New Zealand band.

Ha. I was released. Kept the shirt. That's weird that YT related me to Six60. I guess the rhythm is similar to Don't Forget Your Roots' rhythm.

Rich Neville, bass and Tim Smith, drums along with their vocals was really something special with Rusty and Paul. I was there and it was amazing! I'm sad to share now that we've lost Rich last month too. This version of Poco was incredible and rolled for 9 years. There is much more to this concert and you can search it to hear. I was there too. Thanks for the heads-up on other songs not on this video at YT. I found the video with What Do People Know and Crazy Love. Besides the former, Young's Who Else on Legacy is also very good. Randy Meisner sings it on the album, but he also wrote Rough Edges on Legacy.

Some of my favorites chronologically with Rusty Young as lead singer and/or writer, and one in which he has the big solo live (Boomerang): Rose Of Cimarron The Dance Crazy Love Spellbound Boomerang Little Darlin' Legend While We're Still Young Footsteps Of A Fool A Fool's Paradise Made Of Stone Everlasting Kind Glorybound Blue And Gray (Was Ken Burns not aware of this song?) Widowmaker The Land Of Glory Ghost Town Shoot For The Moon Cry No More When Hearts Collide Call It Love Save A Corner Of Your Heart What Do People Know Who Else Rough Edges One Tear At A Time Regret Neil Young

I saw Poco in the late 1970s with Young and Cotton and I believe the bassist and drummer were England. They had released Legend which got more attention that most of their other albums. I think one of the problems was that the sun was setting on the the seventies country rock scene and that the ship had already sailed that type of music. Still, I had been a fan during their various personal changes but the stars were never aligned for Poco as far as really making a breakthrough.

My favorite celebrity encounter happened on April 4, 1983, when Poco played Portland, Oregon's Euphoria Tavern. Shortly before the show was to start, I headed to the men's room to get rid of a beer. I ended up at a urinal next to singer/songwriter/guitarist Rusty Young, and got to thank him for his brilliant pedal steel guitar on Poco's cover of Steely Dan's first single "Dallas." He had a good laugh when I told him I bought the 1976 album "Head Over Heels" just so I could play "Dallas" whenever I wanted. R.I.P. Rusty and Paul.

They sound fantastic! I'm not familiar with the line-up, for sure! Definitely not my "Tim Smith", but no complaints at all. And the Bottom Line! Can't remember half the great musicians I'd seen there (and won't list the one's I CAN think of) but that was my #1 venue in NYC. Walking distance from my Pop's digs in the Village. By '92, I couldn't afford the drive into the city, parking (if I had to) and tickets. Then the doors shut, just like CBGB's, and all the good stages. Memories...
