I have signed up to work with Primerica. I'm trying to do research. They say they pay for my license. I have auto immune, debt, single mom with a child in college. I'm struggling understanding if this company is a good place for me to just start getting back on my feet as my health improves. Is the payoff of Primerica training me and licensing me worth it? I do not want to sell anyone anything that is wrong. But, with my situation, I myself need a "leg up." However, I want it to be done so honorably.
@topfinancialagency21 күн бұрын
Hey! Selling for Primerica will limit you on what you can sell. You won't be able to sell whole life, IULs, or GULs with them. You can also find cheaper term products and products with more living benefits than Primerica. I prefer to be independent so I can offer a variety. I did this video here on the various types of coverage: kzbin.info/www/bejne/jp-YlGd3lNasqtU

Right! This is just a basic illustration with coverage and some CV growth. I didn't do Min DB Max CV :) What you can do is either select min db max cv or do it like how I did: Determine coverage based on target premium then go back and drop the death benefit and see how the CV is growing. Let's say based on premium, the DB is 100k, you can break it down to 50k and 50k and compare the CV to doing Min DB max CV.

I have a client that is 70. How would you approach or structure a IUL for them that makes sense? They have a million dollar mortgage/loan.
@topfinancialagency4 ай бұрын
Yeah, it gets much more expensive down the line. It depends on their budget. I have clients that age that can fund it 10k annually or others can afford 100k (50k and 50k).

This is just a basic way to run this illustration. You can adjust the death benefit or premium to build it in the way that your client desires. Some clients, like the client I just sat with, wants living benefits so she's not trying to solve for a lot of CV.

@topfinancialagency clients like most agents have no idea what is best. IULs have limitations. You have to align yourself with the IUL not design an IUL for what each person wants. Those are the bad designs.

You can call NLG and have them run an illustration for you based on what you are intending to do. If you want it to pay you out starting out from age 65 for the rest of your life, then they will run an illustration for you to show you what that will look like. Also, if you take out a loan, you should ask them how much you can take out and how it will affect your policy in the future.

Target premium doesn’t mean the cost of insurance
@topfinancialagency Жыл бұрын
If you look at the numbers when you run it and a client wants to pay $100 a month, the target will be $1,200. What I'm saying is to over-fund it. The client will either have to add more than $100 or lower the target premium so their $100 is higher than target premium.
@Jj248310 Жыл бұрын
Not true at all! If level for 30 years old with higher insurance that’s going to a lapse ! And at level when she get cash value and need some cash they going to deduct it from the death benefit.
@topfinancialagency Жыл бұрын
Cash value always comes from the cash value "bucket." If you don't pay it back, it will come out of the death benefit. Living benefits come from the death benefit bucket. Whatever is left will go to the family after death. On a level policy, the family won't get the cash value.

Why does hook up DB amount doesn’t shown any additional cost? Would the insurance company loose money this way? Also Is it safe to pay just 20 years premium for lifetime coverage rather than lifetime payment. how do we know when index doesn’t perform 5.5% interest rate and to put more money in?
@topfinancialagency Жыл бұрын
Yes, great observation. That's why I call it the "hook-up." The Additional Protection Benefit (APB) rider provides death benefit protection at a lower cost than the cost of the base policy. It can therefore, increase total death benefit protection without significantly increasing cost. For the second part of your question, I think you're asking if you can pay a policy for 20 years only? Yes, they can be structured that way as well. For the last question, the 5.5% is an average because the market is always fluctuating. I don't really up my premiums, personally. I diversified my money in term, IULs, and Indexed Annuities.

You mentioned to ignore the guarantee illustrates page but look into the current illustration ledger…However, the index doesn’t perform like that as well. The current illustration ledger doesn’t reflects the years that market performance badly and the floor is 0% rate plus the insurance fee, etc…
@topfinancialagency Жыл бұрын
Yeah so the Guarantee shows how it will perform at 2.5% only, but when you look at the Current Ledger, it's illustrating an average. That's why there's 5.5% or 5.3% etc. And of course we all know everything fluctuates and we tell clients that if the market crashes, they'll get 0%. But, unlike a MF or 401k etc they won't lose.
@courtneyhoang3391 Жыл бұрын
@@topfinancialagency Thanks for your clarification. If we add an additional 150k to make the dead benefit increase without increasing the premium, does it cause the cost of insurance shortage to cover and will pay more when getting old? Thanks 🙏

I loved the video. Thank you for taking the time out of your busy day to record the illustration for us. What do you recommend for those who are over 50 years of age when running an illustration?
@topfinancialagency Жыл бұрын
That would depend on what their budget is. Sometimes I find that with NLG I can still get them more coverage than a final expense, for example, for same cost. That's because with NLG you can use the death benefit and additional protection benefit. Sometimes they get 50k with it split into 25k & 25k and that's sometimes cheaper than a final expense.

If you have your policy take a look at the illustration page. You can see what the numbers look like. Depending on how much cash value you have when you're 65, you may be able to draw money out or stop paying and let the cash value pay the policy, which will deplete the CV. The benefit of that is that you will have living benefits for the rest of your life. The primary benefit of this policy is life insurance & living benefits. Cash value is a 3rd bonus. I also suggest clients get an indexed annuity for retirement. I know other professionals may suggest mutual funds or risky products. I prefer to get gains without risk, but that's a personal choice
