This is part of a continuing education class that I teach at Fresno Pacific University. I only provided a brief description of each curriculum model because students write a report about 1 of the models that they want to learn more about. Here's the link to this class: ce.fresno.edu/educator-courses/ped-910n/

The best thing is to see an orthopedic doctor that specializes in the hip. The doc will determine if you need surgery or rehab.

This is completely wrong. To start, you always pull a wrap internally. Second, you should always go around the hip 3 times. You have the wrap length, pull the snug out of the wrap as you go around. Finally, please use a flex tape, I find spat tape to be the best.
@jimave
@jimave 3 жыл бұрын
I was taught to do it a different way than you. I use regular athletic tape in my classes because some people may not have access to flex tape. My goal is to teach everyone to use athletic tape for most tape jobs.

Can I ask you a question? My mom bought me a hip wrap I got yesterday. I've watched several videos and don't want to be mean to my mom but this brace gives my hip no support at all it looks similar to what you are doing here just not as tight and don't wrap around but once. I have pretty bad hip problems. I need surgery but my cancer dr will not release me to have that big of a survey yet. Its been about 5 years. I don't think I will be able to get it ever. Anyway... This gives my hip no support at all. Is there anything I can do to get any kind if relief at all? My son pulls my leg and it helps by taking the edge off but once he lets go...witch I make him do verrrry slowly the pain is back. It feels like an old screen door when it creeks open and closed. I don't think ill ever get total relief but is there anything I can do to take the edge off other than my son pulling it he don't get to do it very often and can only do it for a little bit.

Great video. How long does it take for a hip flexor strain to heal?
@jimave
@jimave 4 жыл бұрын
It depends on how bad it is injured and the age of the person. It can take 2 weeks for a mild strain up to several months for a bad strain.

If you are a FREETHINKING LEADER, then this book is for you. bit.ly/FreeThinkingCoalition - Marcus Buckinghams 9 Lies About Work for free! We wrote NINE LIES ABOUT WORK - A Freethinking Leader’s Guide to the Real World to build a COALITION of FREETHINKING LEADERS, who stand for the truth: that the power of human nature lies in each human’s unique nature, and that work is a magnificent place to unleash that power. We stand against organizations, leaders, practices, and tools that systematically or carelessly crush that uniqueness.

This is fantastic. I've lived by the idea that you should "do what you like least first" and it leaves what you're looking forward to as a reward. That has helped me be successful in many definitions, but it can be a challenge to spin up for that. Really hard. This is a different view -- in asking "What are you looking forward to?" we get to the idea of living a strength driven life. What activities leave you feeling "strong and magnificent" -- that's an inspiring question. Thanks for asking!

*Rick has developed a comprehensive system to unlock your hips and restore movement the way it should be. [Check Details Here==>**plus.google.com/u/4/117309684281297662218/posts/2QokVGbQmPK** ]. Everyone could benefit from Unlock Your Hip Flexors. The two most important things to live a long healthy life is good quality whole food and great movement and which requires great hip mobility. This video is a lot better than the other ones on here. The continuous heel locks make it too difficult for people watching this video, those who are trying to learn this technique. Continuous heel locks go to fast & make it confusing to replicate.
