I’ve got a Nishiro MXT 29, and have been messing with the settings. I chose 9 pedal assist options in the settings, and to my dismay the throttle only activates on 0 and 1. VALK and Nishiro are very similar bikes, so I’m hoping the settings for VALK will suit my MXT……. I’ve upset something in the little computer perhaps . Any help would be most appreciated. 😅

Parallel and series, those are the ways you want to put your batteries. Parallel is positive battery to positive battery to bositive battery. That's incorrect, you want to do positive, to negative, to positive. Then get copper and put it on top of your two sets of batteries. Top and bottom. The connect the top (positive) to the plus on your gopro battery. Then get the other set of batteries, get the bottom piece of copper and attach it to the (negative) on the gopro. It will take the charge from the batteries and basically Jumpstart the battery. It works and fixes your gopro no matter what

An annoying thing with this Valk is when you are in throttle only assist mode, the amount of battery motor power at max throttle is less than being in auto mode and having to pedal to activate power. So trying to just use it like a motorbike and not pedal at all is not really possible because the power is defiantly restricted in throttle only mode.. .any suggestions to overcome this.

I'd say about 30-40km on flat ground if you put in decent pedal effort. Furthest I've ridden is about 33km on a rail trail. After that ride it was showing ~70% remaining on the indicator. If you have to go up a steep hill the indicator drops rapidly as more amps are drawn, so a 70% on the flat can drop to under 50% pretty quickly under load.

Hi thanks for the video and info, what do you think about the bikes capability on rough terrain and trails for mountain biking? I was thinking about the dual suspension bike
@donkeystrut
@donkeystrut 4 жыл бұрын
I ride mine on fire roads all the time, but I wouldn't take it on anything rougher without upgrading some components (I've hit some rougher trails by accident and it did ok, but it's pretty heavy). The frame seems solid. Dual suspension should be better. You'll definitely have to change the stock tyres for something more DH/enduro suited

@donkeystrut

MX7 has 27.5'' wheels - frame probably slightly bigger to suit. MX6 has 26'' wheels - if you're not a tall bugger the MX6 would be fine but if you're 6ft+ you'll probably be happier on the MX7 or MX9 (29'' wheels).

@donkeystrut
@donkeystrut 4 жыл бұрын
I'd buy it again in a heartbeat. For the price I can't fault it. The only thing I've changed is the pedals so far. If I could be bothered I'd upgrade the brakes to hydraulic disc and the drivetrain from the basic tourney 7 speed. I could ride it a lot faster if I had some higher ratios, the top speed is limited by pedaling cadence in a lot of situations. Wouldn't bother with dual suspension, it's heavy enough as it is!

Bike's going well, I've ridden around 1700km on it so far. No major issues - it has thrown the chain a couple of times but that was just the drivetrain needing a bit of adjustment. It is actually surprisingly good for the price. I've almost done 1000km on it now - a lot of the riding has been on the rail trail so it hasn't been babied. The maximum speed I've got the bike to is around 35kph from the bike speedo on flat ground. With max assist and some setting changes the bike will comfortably hold 30kph on the trail. The bike quality is pretty good, frame is solid, brakes are adequate but nothing special. The pedals are terrible so you might want to swap those out for something better.
