There is no trinity. It was not understood that God in Person sends the Spirit, but that Spirit is the SAME GOD (almighty) who is a spirit, NOT A THIRD PERSON (this is why Jesus NEVER MENTIONS that a THIRD person is with Him!). Thus no third person exists. The Spirit of God (aka Holy Spirit) is actually originated by God - not a spirit - who is AWAY "No man has seen God at any time." "the world did not know you". You can see in the gospels that EVERYTHING is carried out by that Spirit here on earth, NOT PERSONALLY by God: the Spirit of God dealt with Mary's pregnancy, spoke when Jesus was baptized, led Jesus into the desert, later helped Him in speaking too. Further, the Spirit of God ("Spirit of your Father") also helped the apostles in speaking. "God is a spirit" (Jn. 4:24) i.e. the only one Spirit who is here is God, almighty.

I have listened to the 3 sermons on Matthew 18 and appreciate the attention and spirit in which they were delivered. Thank you for sharing the word of God, it is powerful. It wasn’t until recently that I saw this chapter as a continuous, progressive teaching. This perspective gives a bit of a different flavor than I have always been exposed to previously.
