Interesting James, maybe a bit long? Defo need Australian accents to make it feel relevant here.

I actually tried to get the AI to make this shorter but it started to do some weird things like talking really fast - still learning how to give it better prompts. Agree on the Aussie accents - not available yet but as soon as they become available will give it a go.

Very good. Thank you! What I find hard now is to find the tools that enables me to calculate the impact of my business model design. Examples would be that it's easy to calculate the impact on cost and development when changing from alkaline AA to rechargeable lithium in my products but to quantify the impact on the environment... Where can I start? Thanks in advance for any tips from anyone!
@BlueTribeMedia4 жыл бұрын
The approach we use when looking at the environmental or social impact will depend on the business model type eg if you use a buy 1 give 1 model like unhoused.org then it is relatively easy to work out as each sale results in an item of clothing going to the homeless. Others such as swapping AA single use batteries to rechargeable are a little more complicated and we almost always look to the research literature. I did 5 min of quick searching in google scholar and found a good article on life cycle of batteries and found that rechargeable batteries need to use used up to 50 times to create a benefit (which they measure in the study). Try looking at the unit economics and try and calculate the environmental benefit then you can use this to determine impact as you scale.

@@BlueTribeMedia Thank you, very good answer. I now have a pile of papers to digest... Starting to see what needs to be adjusted in my PLM processes in order to keep to budget etc. I see why some companies choose to green wash and continue to just burn dinosaurs =/

Hi, I was wondering if there is an estimated budget and/or pricing strategy to go along with this model?
@BlueTribeMedia5 жыл бұрын
This type of business model is known as a product service system and the pricing strategy will depend on the actual product and service offerings. The pricing will depend on the value the customer sees in the product - in addition to recovering the cost of the tire, Michelin are also able to capture some of the saving they generate for their customers which they estimate as 2.5L of fuel per 100km.
