Baby having a shallow latch, therefore unable to latch properly and causing very, very intense pain 😭 I had to stop even trying to latch baby to let my nipples heal (I forgot to mention I am currently four days postpartum and going through this)

Thank you for the video. It was informative. @kassireyes I do have a question. Why wouldn't you clean the tube? Isn't that gonna get dirty from pumping?

I NEED HELP! I'm due in 2 weeks (well scheduled for induction then, not actually due for over a month) and can't decide on a pump. Unfortunately my insurance only covers like 5 pumps and I've ruled out 3 (ones a handpump, one is Ameda which I HATED with previous baby and the Motif Duo), I've narrowed it down to the Motif Luna and the Lansinoh Smartpump 3.0. I need a STRONG suction and I may be exclusively pumping, especially at first as we anticipate a NICU stay, which pump would you recommend?? I've also considered ordering a Spectra S1 or Spectra Synergy Gold out of pocket. Do you think I'll need that with one of the other pumps, whichever you recommend, and if so do you recommend the S1 or the Gold (non-portable)?? TIA!

Does this still work with using nipple shields ?

Yes :) you want to use the same technique to get baby to latch deeply with a nipple shield

I have this oversupply issue, i need to pump/ squeeze all the time during day and night and this effects my health, sleep cycle as well.. 3 months postpartum and if i dont squeeze in time, then easily developed the clogged milk duct and its so painful

Thank you for this video. My son is almost 5 weeks old and we still struggle with latching on my flat nipples. Is it possible he’ll be able to latch better when he’s a few months older? I feel guilty using a bottle sometimes. I want the BF Bonding time
@KassiReyes8 күн бұрын
It is possible. Keep trying and don't give up hope. It took my daughter 4 months to get it. In the mean time, keep trying and try to get in lots of skin to skin time to get that bonding time.

What does one do if the breasts are getting sore and the nipples are paining? After active feeding , if made to unlatch, the baby starts howling and crying loudly.

I have very large breasts and my arreolas are pretty much the size of my baby's head. It really is not possible to fit that in my baby's mouth... Any tips how to deal with that.
@KassiReyes8 күн бұрын
Hi! That's ok and totally normal. You don't have to try to get your entire areola in, just aim to get baby on as deeply as possible so that it's comfortable to you .. I would say (to give you a visual estimate) aiming for 2 finger widths on each side of the nipple should be in baby's mouth, versus the entire areola.

I don't care about the surrenges I am just trying to do it with only a breast pump

How much suction do people usually use? I can’t go above level 2.. it causes intense pain.
@KassiReyes16 күн бұрын
It's absolutely ok to use a pump on level 2 if that's what is comfortable to you...but also make sure you are using the correct flange size

Somebody just woke up, copied a script from Google and made a video. Whoever is reading this, don't drink coffee or any caffeine related product. It may work on your baby, but its not supposed to. The women in the video is just clueless and have no facts about what she is talking

This is really good information. Imas I dig into it I don’t realize how extensive the dangers can be . My wife and I are twin parents and we are having the same issues , thank you for putting this information out there . I can’t believe we don’t make this national news and offer all the help necessary to all mothers and families going through this . Thank you

Mine doesn’t turn on the mode I left it, could be a problem o it is just the way it is? Also, I have 10 days postpartum , I only get 10 ounces , 5 oz each, it is my first baby, someone here like me? thank you!
