I grew up listening to SAfm on Saturdays and that's when I've learnt many of the continent's music including this beautiful masterpiece. With love from South Africa ❤

I saw these guys perform at an arts exhibit at the French embassy in Nairobi in 1994 or 95. They came out quietly, they were very short and not flashy-unlike the large dressed up dance troupes of the other acts. Then they walked up to the mics and started singing and it was like heaven had pierced my very bones. I’m American and I didn’t understand Malagasy but I believe I wept. Weeping right now just remembering it.
