Amen 🙏✝️❤️ It is all of God in Christ, by His grace towards His children. Everything. Great is His faithfulness. Great is His mercy. 1 Corinthians 1:29-31 KJV [29] that no flesh should glory in his presence. [30] But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption: [31] that, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.

Amen....and Amen! Such a comfort it is to look beyond the false gospel preached today, by the charlatans and imposters in 99% of churches in this day! Looking to CHRIST alone for all my salvation! Hebrews 12:1-3 King James Version 1 Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, 2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. 3 For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.

I've been listening to some of your sermons and I've liked them, the plainness of speech. However I started listening to this and I heard you say something about Christmas dinner. Nowhere in the Bible are we to celebrate Christmas in fact God word is against it. It's hard to believe that your beliefs are in predestination sovereignty of God, everything's the will of God God's will be done, but yet you're going to add to his word??? That's bad. You'll never convince me that celebrating Xmas a pagan sun worship, tree worship un holy day is right. Oh but we don't do it that way, you may say, We don't do it like ancient times, the Pharisees. We do it like the Catholics do. almost.

It almost seems like gouging out the eyes, the cutting off the hands, or to emasculate oneself would never be sufficient. I suppose the cutting off of bodily parrs would never cease to satisfy since it would require the destruction of every cell of our bodies to the point of physical death in order to be free from sin. A dead body can no longer sin! One question: King David had at least 8 wives and several concubines, yet David was only guilty of adultery where Bathsheba was concerned. Given David had several wives would this not make him a serial adulterer. In the matter of the adultery I believe God said to David He would have given David as many of the virgins of Israel as he had wanted?

When I look back at the religion I was once involved with I find it hard to think how I was drawn into that sect. It was all about having to learn facts and figures, believing in those facts and figures to be true, and baptism. It was like a knowledge of the truth and the waters of baptism was ones justification. How different and wonderful it is to know and trust it was all conditioned on Christ and his atoning blood. Thank you and amen.

In terms of the physical lineage of Abraham it sort of gets lost anyway. The children of Abraham isnt a pedigree genealogy anyway in the sense that Abraham was a gentile from Ur, and they continued to be a mixed race. Jacob's children were born of four different women. When the Hebrews left Egypt a number of Egyptians accompanied them in the Exodus and no doubt became part of that nation. Both Joseph and Moses married outside of the assembly of Hebrews. Rahab the harlot and Ruth married into that nation and in the time of Esther many Persians became part of that nation. No doubt many other peoples were joined to the Jewish nation. Salvation has never been about genealogy, and Christ's genealogy proves that to be the case.

I suppose there are some who see the new man as works still, and some preachers refer to that as backoading the gospel. Some confusion about keeping his COMMANDMENTS in the letters of John could be due to COMMANDMENTS being the same keeping the law. However the apostle John equates keeping his COMMANDMENTS to believing in the name of Jesus and that he is the propritiation for our sins. Thank you Pastor

"We didn't believe in Him before we were born again" This excellent message on Christ our Champion is spoiled by what I assume is the influence of Calvinism. Ephesians 1:3 "In him you also, when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and believed in him, were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit, 14 who is the guarantee of our inheritance until we acquire possession of it, to the praise of his glory." Repentance and faith both PRECEDE the new birth.

I believe I might have found the answers to my questions. Galations 5 is making a contrast/distinction between those who are believers and those who arent. Believers are no longer under the law but are instead in Christ and no longer under a curse and cannot sin. Galations 5 seems to point out that sinners outside of Christ will not inherit the kingdom of God. Believers should not fellowship with unbelievers?
@hedley55762 жыл бұрын
Thank you for this sermon and as always you explain things concerning the gospel extremely well. I suppose the things I get confused about are things like when Paul says that those who DO such things will not inherit the kingdom of God (Galations 5:19-21), and yet he says the things he doesn't want to DO he does (Romans 7: 19) So on the one hand it appears the he is justified despite his failings, yet others who are not justified and do bad things will not inherit the kingdom. But the warning Paul gives about evil works seems to be addresed to believers. What should I make of this so I can understand the message of God's word. Hedley

Bill I just listened to your message on “Before Faith and After Faith “. I rejoiced in all that you said until you got to what happened to us when Adam sinned. You said when Adam sinned we became spiritually dead, which is true. But the Scripture says ROM.5:18 Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life. We became more than spiritually dead, we came under condemnation . Is this just splitting hairs now or did we actually come under condemnation in Adam as Scripture says?
