For the purposes of this video, you have to have a catalyst in your left hand, and a sorcery you can cast (I use spook) equipped, as well as the miracle (tears of denial) that you want to actually cast. You then press L1 and L2 at the same time, then up on the D-pad really soon after, which confuses the game into casting the miracle you just switched to instead of the spell. It can take quite a few tries to get the timings right, though, and it only works on the older patches (v1.04 for sure). On newer patches it works with a bow tho teardrop doesn't work. I tried this thing with the new teardrop but it doesn't seem possible. (spells swap is pretty easy, use bow in left hand, then cast a spell, while casting switch to the spell you want then backstep+forward+weapon art (on kbm is space+w+ctrl , w+ctrl must be pressed same time after backstep)

No, any sorcery will work (or miracle if you're using a talisman instead of a stave). If you want to make it easier, you can also bypass the spellswap bit altogether by just getting a talisman from the shrine handmaid to cast tears of denial with. I do the spellswap to mostly avoid needing to have faith 15.

Which game version are you using? You have to downpatch to v1.04 for the teardrop to work...

I'm not sure how you'd use this for other bonfires. The reason it works for Untended Graves I think is that the map for Untended Graves and Firelink Shrine is the same and you're not meant to be able to access Firelink Shrine from where Oceiros is. There might be a way to wrong warp in other places, but I haven't found one.

Are you playing on the right patch? It only works on v1.04 and earlier.

The aim is to jump so that you land on the very edge of the tower and slide off while in the landing animation with knees bent. The difficult additional bit is that you have to land on a sloping bit of collision between the rocks and the tree for it to work (similar mechanism to how the teardrop near the Halfway Fortress works). It usually takes me a good 5-10 tries to pull it off, even after practicing this quite a bit. Good luck!

I realized that you might also have meant how the setup for the teardrop glitch works in general. For that you need to use the Tears of Denial miracle, and you need to have an item that restores health continuously equipped (I'm using Anri's Straight Sword here, the Blessed Round Shield you get outside Irina's cell is another good one). With those active, you can walk into a death plane without dying and when you walk back out, the glitch is active, i.e. gravity is off and you're invisible. The thing that makes it harder is that if you're in the falling animation when you enter the death plane it doesn't work, hence all the landing animation + landing on collision stuff in this video.

When I did it I managed to get the fog gate to not spawn in at all by walking in at slightly higher than ground level. If you walk in at ground level, you trigger the gate and other nearby level assets to load in. Thanks for watching my content and doing it yourself too!

@@Nikola_mz You do, yeah. Storm ruler is the only weapon you can't get rid of by selling it. It's not all that powerful against anyone except Yhorm the Giant though unfortunately.
