To think that I may have passed this game up. I think it was late 2006 or early 2007 and my GF and I went to a Gamestop so she could buy me a reservation for a Halo or CoD game and the clerk asked if I wanted to try that beta for Mass Effect set-up on a console. I looked at it and it was Shepherd standing on the first planet you play to go after Saren. "Naw, I'll pass- I'm not really into RPGs". Thank God several weeks later on a car forum I was on, they were talking about Mass Effect ranting and raving about it so I gave it a shot. When this loading screen came up, the music immediately caught my attention. Never heard anything like it. Plus you had the semi translucent characters of the game popping in and out giving it this aura that you were about to embark on an epic journey with epic characters. Then, when I get my ship and plan a course, I fell even deeper in love with the Galaxy Map music. I don't play a wide variety of games. I will play a game's multiplayer for over 10 years. I've only played one other RPG which is GTA IV but the Mass Effect trilogy is the only RPG I will recommend to people. It is the only game I have ever played where I could delete my personal memory of it so that each time I play it, I get that sense of wonder and intrigue of playing it for the first time.

Hearing this makes me choke up. I love Mass Effect. Deeply. It's more than a game. I'll love it till I'm too old to hold a controller anymore, and beyond

definitely one of the best level in the gamedev history. there was so much hope in Joel entering here, then slowly enthusiasm lowered and the final was heartbreaking. But Ellie was strong enough to fix him.

Thank you so much for this calming music from one of my all-time favourite games. Its calming overtones help me significantly on days when I'm struggling a bit with sensory overload and overwhelm. It really takes me back to the game and to a peaceful field in Toussaint.

5 years ago I think, or 4, I was with my then-girlfriend and after some warm positive afternoon together, with her beloved 22° air-condition setting, I played her this song as we just relaxed together. She did not know RDR 2 at the time. She listened and said this music is very relaxing and she loved it. She then became very good at this game, especially online, although our relationship started to get more and more estranged. Every time I see this video, hear this music, I think of her, her smile and those deep green eyes and miss her. Life goes on. Just wanted to share.
