I was thinking about doing this myself - maybe in the future when I have a farm I'll grow some grapes!

Prima Wawona's downfall had nothing to do with "climate change" but everything to do with the greed of a New York hedge fund chasing the idea that "money grows on trees". The recent Fresno Bee article blames their downfall on gross mismanagement and incompetence. These suit and tie types had no business getting into this industry. Nearly 5600 people have now lost their job and our local economy will suffer. FYI, I'm a Fresno County resident and farmer.

Thanks so much for the comment Andrew. As we have said, we have been fortunate to visit the farms and one of the facilities and it was just fascinating to see the scale. Its always sad news when a company goes out of business, but we hear your point. Hopefully we will visit your stunning valley soon again.

I thought it was due to the merge , Prima Wawona inherited huge debt . Hundreds of millions in debt when they merged with some other large farmer . It's a mess regardless

Wind disruptions has become a pandemic issue and without proper stats it does appear to be more progressive of late. The big question is, has everything been done to mitigate wind disruptions? This coupled to really poor productivity has led to the crisis - just doesn't seem to be able to be resolved. Most of the measures Transnet has indicated to resolve the issues are either implemented too late or not at all. Personally I think the Cape Town terminal should be privatized outright..

The problem with ship delays is mostly isolated to Durban. Cape Town port doesn't have any vessel delays the way I see it. From when are Maersk omitting Cape Town as ships are still calling as normal.
