you're supposed to put a string on the bacon & pull it up. It works over and over again till you have a lot of crayfish.

You're suppsed to tie an inch of bacon on a string and fish for them like that. When i was a kid, each of us kids in the neighborhood had a half dozen strings in the ditch and we pulled crawdads out all day long!
@DowdleFamilyFarms16 сағат бұрын
We should try it in a ditch instead of their hole I guess as well as the string. Thanks for the info!

@DowdleFamilyFarms I raised pigs too when I was a kid. Durocs, Chester Whites, Hampshires. We always got Grand Champion or Reserve Grand Champion at the fair and Grand Champion in their class. Dad knew what he was doing being an Ag teacher! He is still teaching! 62 years! He is 87 years old! We raised sheep, too. Grand Champions every other year. Our competitor was the Ag teacher and his son in the next town, dad had that Ag teacher as a student! Lol! I miss the excellent pork. I raised myself with a lot of work. It was worth it. Feeding the boar was a scary and exciting endeavor. I'd sneak quietly to his pen and jump in quick to pour in grain feed into his trough. The. The whole farm would would sound off. I will look into your business!

Well, it performs well in dry areas like few other crops can. However, once it gets to the point of it being really dry, Prussic acid can be a real issue.

@DowdleFamilyFarms19 сағат бұрын
they get grain rations depending on how much forage their is and where the pigs are in their life cycle.
@2aprogressive6263 күн бұрын
The pigs are also pulling out organic matter that would normally decompose into nutrients. So you definitely need some of their manure dropped in the forest.

We run ours through the woods on purpose, to clear the land so we can create fields and gardens and things. Not concerned about the watershed, as there isn't a well for miles around (we do rainwater collection for now), only some ponds and the water on our land is always moving.
