Hi! I love the words on the edge of the piece and how it implies that the turtle represents those words. I also really like the ocean and it makes me feel calm. The colors are also so pretty! 🤩🩵🐢

@@LarissaDavisArtist I absolutely love sea turtles. When I was in Hawaii visiting family I encountered one down at the docs. I was laying there looking in the water seeing all the colorful fish and a sea turtle came up right in front of me. I think it was curious of me it came up for air and went straight back down. So beautiful to see them up close. I live in Colorado so I don't get to the ocean much. It was wonderful to see. 🐢💚

@@LarissaDavisArtist I think, for the most part (at least with myself) it's just the absolute amount of talent that goes into a piece like this. All of the colors are fluid, and vibrant, the anatomy of the horse is spot on, all of the little details and bursts of bright colors in the background-- impressively beautiful (And of course, regular beautiful). Your art is wonderful :)

I love your use of colour! I was about to scroll because it almost looks too generic or AI but I paused and remembered that every single dot, every colour on that canvas was hand painted by you. I do art in my own time and I criticize myself for making art that I've seen before, but I pour so much work into it and mine are less complex than this too. I cannot imagine the love and hours you poured into this <3 incredible

@@LarissaDavisArtist I do paint! I'm currently working on a piece that looks like an imprint of something, imagine a hand covered in paint slapped on a canvas, but a large scale painting. I had to do the first step, the "imprint" on a white background so the colours would be clear but I want the background to be black so I'm currently painstakingly going around every tiny dot and every little crevasse on the canvas with black, so it looks as if the black was there the whole time. To someone else it'll look like vivid colours on a black background, but only I and a few others will know that every single black dot was placed with my brush. It's so therapeutic and fun though ☺️

@LarissaDavisArtist she was actually my first friend. Before 4th grade, pretty much all of my friendships were either non existent, or toxic. Which is weird to say for as young as I was, but I've always had difficulty with people.

The work put into creating texture is impressive. I like how you work at both small levels (dots and tiny brush strokes) and large details ( wide strokes, bright colors) Also you have nailed color theory!
