Congratulations, you did quite a bit better than most people I've seen play this mod. You've definitely got me thinking of doing a sequel of this mod, possibly for Halo 3, with fully custom level geometry for maximum trolling potential.

I made a small editing error at roughly 5:40, but this only cut out about 15-20 seconds of gameplay of killing the Flood before entering the empty armory - apologies for the mistake!

I actually think the darkness gimmick really suits the mission, but it’s kind of ironic that this mission is easier than the last two when in the base game it's the hardest mission

@napkinb0t200 After I got pushed back into the tunnel from the Flood spawn wave, had only a Sniper to kill Flood, fell into the little cubby hole TWICE, and the invis Rocket Flood *still* decided not to blast my face off, I knew that HAD to be the one But yeah I was shaking at the end of that one lol

@sephidude123 The name of the mod, lol In all seriousness, while I didn't make the mod, I'd say it's the escalating difficulty of the mod as a whole combined with the "Kaizo" spawns (6 hunters spawning right on top of you could be comprable to an invisible Kaizo block in a Kaizo Mario platformer)

@JanustheXanus Of the missions I've done so far, I'd say PoA through TnR aren't that bad, and SC through 343 all seem doable, but probably more than 10x the deaths I have just doing it on Heroic. Co-op would make it a lot more feasible, too. That being said, I've seen the beginning of Library, and there's multiple Spec Ops elites and other covies immediately off spawn that gun you down to 1-2 health before the Flood even start spawning. I have no idea how you'd do that on Legendary. Even thinking about doing Library on Heroic is making me anxious, I'll probably start my attempts today.

@@SigmaDyess 2 hours is actually a pretty good time. I take longer than thar when I play on Legendary. Then again, I think that might be because I mess around frequently and do unimportant things.

This makes me want to cry man. I’m 28 with a beautiful wife and kids, this game was my childhood and I absolutely love it, the music, everything about it. I have aggressive cancer now, non Hodgkin peripheral Tcell lymphoma, every day hurts and I’m so weak. I want my kids to enjoy this game as much as I did. I’m only saying this because it sounds stupid but we take games for granted when we have them and when you’re close to the end of your life, things like this stick out as one of the great nostalgic memories that me and a lot of people share so thank you for this play through. Even the door sound and pistol reload, especially the assault rifle deploy sound, in fact all the weapon sounds are locked in my head haha. I love this. Not trying to somber the mood. I’m fighting as hard as I can. And will continue to fight. It’s unbearable but videos like this help when I can’t hop on and play. Some days are better than others. Anyway. Thanks again for this play through!

@AntiRep31 Not to be sappy, but your comment legitimately brought tears to my eyes. Fuck cancer, nobody deserves to go through that. I'm 25 with a wife of my own, and family is definitely one of the things that keeps me going some days. I mostly just make these videos for fun and to catalog all the mods people make for Halo, no matter how good or bad. I don't monetize my videos and I don't expect them to reach many people or garner more than a few hundred views, but knowing that my videos can be this meaningful to the small but decicated amount of people who do watch them makes it more than worth it. Even if it was just for a little, I'm glad my shitty playthrough of this sadistic Kaizo mod could help brighten your day. Wishing you and your family all the best 💜

Won’t go into many details but three years sober and I’ve been fighting the hardest war I’ve ever fought in my life called cancer…. Treatment, everything about it sucks completely, I appreciate your words and yeah I came across your video on the algorithm and I’m subscribed now haha, these games are incredible for their time and still hold up as incredible for time… forever. Anyway. Forgive me if I’m all over the place with this comment but minds not the best lately haha. Again thanks man for your words. Life really hit hard met this old man today at Walmart shopping with my wife and littlest, he lost almost his whole family to cancer and dude. It’s so damn weird going through this being this young… but yeah man keep up the play throughs. I’m sure there’s more people out there. My disease is rare lucky me -.- but hey you never know how many you impact just by playing a classic game. 👍🏼

This and other great mods like Project Lumoria and Mercury Rising make me wish we got Gearbox expansions for CE and possibly 2 back in the day. Sure, modern Gearbox is a dumpster fire and CE’s pc port was pretty scuffed. But, they also gave us the Half-Life expansions with Opposing Force being quite possibly the BEST official Half-Life content and with CE’s pc port they included a lot of really cool maps and some new/cut weapons. I’m sure the Gearbox of them would’ve been able to give us some really cool levels that build on what worked with CE and reworks/outright scraps what didn’t. Too bad that never happened. I personally wish the Brutes had just a bit more health and were maybe even given some more armor to make them more of a threat. That way they wouldn’t just fold when fired upon. I really liked how the Elites have spec ops Grunts on their side and how you encounter them towards the end of the level. It will be cool to see what VKMT make now that Digsite has been released.

Glad you enjoyed it! I pushed an update yesterday to fix the flood models, some of the human forms were still vanilla along with all the combat forms. Those have all been swapped to what I intended.

@@SigmaDyess Oh for sure, I am still quite new to the whole scripting area for halo, although i have been messing with the Editing tools for Halo since Halo: Custom Edition was still highly popular. This would be my first release however.
