This is wonderful! 20:35 - but shots with the vertical filming on top of horizontal, are making me really motion sick. :( If you don't get sick yourself, just remember you can't have two images moving in different directions on the screen at the same time. Unless it's a short, please just keep it vertical. I'll just listen for now.

Great job editing all the info together. The foundations in the 10-14 minute marks are indeed the tipple, washery, and engine and boiler house. The pyramid shaped one was the engine and boiler house, and the rest was the tipple and washery, with the ripple being the closest to the tracks. The two portals near the blacksmith shop were the main lower adits, with many more portals (all collapsed) on the hill above the railway.

Also, the superintendents house would have been closer to the powder shack. The foundation at the 16:00 mark is actually from pre 1900s workings, before the “new” school was built. There were a couple portals on that hillside also. The water that runs near the foundation is from one of them.

Nice job. Years ago (80's) I wasn't able to explore the town site, it was a field of blackberries. But I found a brick platform uphill near the schoolhouse foundation. Looked like a base for something in the coal operation. Couldn't find it on the next trip. There used to be a few single telegraph or power poles along the rail grade, but they got cut down. Possibly so someone could get the insulators. There were the remains of pilings where the rails crossed gullies and low spots. In the 50's and 60's you could have still accessed the area by car, so a lot of the metal artifacts are just stuff people dumped long after the town was gone. I hope to be able to do some more exploring in the area next summer.

Nice video guys and great research. Thanks for posting it. Did I miss something or did you? The old powerhouse was just past the wall on the left, right next to the trail. It was still intact minus the roof. Anyway, I enjoyed your video. Thanks again.

You did a real fine job on this video. Thanks. It's been 20 some years since I was there. At lot has overgrown the turntable and coke ovens area, but I guess that's to be expected. You mentioned the coke ovens at Crocker and Wilkeson, but not South Willis. Did you find them?
@Every_Day_Adventure

@daryljacobson7462 Thank you for watching and taking time to comment , we did find and tour the ovens at Willis, that was a cool adventure too, check out our South Willis video, aside of our historical timeline mistake thinking the Willis ovens were built before Wilkeson, we video captured the coke ovens. We know where the Montezuma ovens used to be but it's posted private property and we think we know down by the Carbon river where the Carbonado ovens were but that too is private land.

It never ceases to amaze me that every time I watch a Fairfax video no one ever shows the giant wall! This wall is huge. And you can’t get to Fairfax without walking right past it. We’re talking 80 feet long by possibly 30 feet tall by about 3 feet thick. And no one ever shows it. Considering there’s nothing left of that town, it’s actually the most amazing thing there is to see out there.
