I need help understanding their strategy bc it makes no sense to me. They claim HS recruiting is the foundation of the program but don’t want to overpay for 5* talent. Instead they want to use it on “proven” talent in the portal. However, they’re very limited in who they can take. So basically, they’re paying borderline NFL draftable players, 5* $? That’s incredibly stupid. Seriously, that’s the dumbest strategy I’ve ever seen. You’re going to overpay for low ceiling, filler players and eschew recruiting the players, you claim are the foundation? I can’t comprehend this level of stupidity.

I would much rather get Ohio st or Georgia at ND stadium with home field advantage then on a neutral field I'm not sure why everyone is so worried about the fifth seed. If people don't have faith in ND by now I don't know what it will take. Going to have to play the other top teams at some point I say bring it on. ND won't get credit for beating Az st we all know that,I want ND to take out one of the teams that everyone loves so much and shut everyone up for good .

I'm surprised when people are surprised that PSU is ranked ahead of ND. I might be wrong but isn't Chair of the CFB Playoff Committee the AD for Michigan. Michigan the team that doesn't like PSU but hates ND. Michigan, the team that cheated for 3-years (and this AD/Chair knew about it.). The BIG whatever is battling the SEC for the biggest bucks.

On another channel, Christian Gray after missing an over the head interception was mocked as not having good hands or wide receiver potential. But Gray's interception vs USC was a difficult catch showing that he does in fact have good hands.

They don’t have the run game or run defense to close games out. Michigan game, Minnesota, Penn State, Maryland should have all been wins. USC also doesn’t eat clock so they kill their defense. It’s a mix of stuff but I think the short answer is Lincoln Riley.

@@edszewczyk Like that receiver room plus what we saw out of Maiava should have them at least at 9-3. And they’re gonna run it back next year. But if they can’t slow the game down late and run the ball and control possessions, they’ll have the same outcomes agains. The only reason they went 11-3 in 2022 was because Caleb Williams went nuclear and broke like every USC offensive record and won the Heisman. And I’m not sure they’ll ever be able to replicate that because the Big Ten is such a better league.

You pretty much saw all of ND's season long strengths and weaknesses in this game today. The one thing that bothered me was that Al Golden called a lot of 'cocaine' plays again which I hadn't seen for a couple of years. The only logic I can come up with was that he was willing to sacrifice a lot of first downs in order to demobilize their QB.

Rivalry games can get goofy, a win is a win. Especially on the road. Look at a lot of the upsets Saturday from the top teams. Ohio State, Miami, Clemson all lost games they should have won.

I said this exact thing somewhere else and was scoffed at like they were playing a military team again. USC is better than a 6-6 team. Put them in a bowl against another 6-6 major conference team and see what happens, provided they don’t pack it in like punks do
