Interesting. I think it will wiggle around while people are inside unless the trailer is chocked.
@venture.explore.discoverКүн бұрын
My wife was definitely worried about that! We tested it overnight, with the wheels chocked, and it really didn't move too much. We have RV stabilizer jacks that we bought for the back corners, but by the time we got where we were going and got everything else set up, we were too tired to set them up so we didn't use them. We will probably use them in the future for just a little extra stability. Thank you for watching!

It is secured to the trailer with steel plates inside the unit that are bolted through the trailer floor… sorry we did not record that process as we were anxious to get back on the road. This is an entry level option and definitely not something everyone would want, but it works for what we want to do. It is lighter and less expensive, even including the trailer purchase, the any teardrop/squaredrop that I have seen, and I have been researching the market for about 3 years.

You need to do more homework. This guy left out a lot of crucial information. All panels are screwed together and the entire thing is coated with a proprietary truck bed liner type material for added rigidity and inner and outer shell protection. If I remember correctly, the foam is about 3" thick. The manufacturer claims that your body heat is enough to heat the interior in some fairly cool temperatures. It does have vents and some other features, so you may want to visit their website and/or watch some more videos.

I wonder about the utility of this for a trailer that doesn't have an articulating hitch (IE just a standard 2" ball)? Interesting idea tho.

@@backwoodstherapy I agree that an articulating hitch would be a necessity for any off road use, but a standard 2” ball should be sufficient for light gravel roads.

Freeman park at Carolina Beach has camping right on the beach and you can have a fire if it’s elevated off the sand BUT, it’s $30 to reserve a campsite and then when you get to the entrance you’re still not allowed to drive to your campsite without paying the $50 entrance fee. Also it’s not even 24hrs. Checkout is 10am so make sure you enjoy the beach the evening before. You can just pay the $50 entrance fee and stay all night but a guard literally patrols to make sure your eyes are open lol

Take a zoom lens camera. It is an easy place to see that there is no curvature. You can scan down the beach past Bald Head Island and even see people on the beach there from Ft. Fisher. Looking to the North, you can even see the Wrightsville Beach water tower from Bald Head, 26 miles away. Then put your camera on the ocean horizon and see all the boats that you could not see with the naked eye. Nothing is "going over the horizon."

The ride will only be as fun as the least built ride can handle lol. Teach them the basics of airing down, disconnecting sway bars (if they're in a jeep), why we do those things (comfort as well as grip). Don't freak them out too bad the first time. Try not to let anyone get trail damage. Make sure everyone knows trail etiquette (keep the person behind you in your rearview mirror, person going _uphill_ has priority, etc). Teach people what to bring on an off road trip (recovery gear, extra water, fire extinguisher, first aid kit). Try and choose a trail that can be done with a stock rig but is still fun for a built one - there's (obviously) a big difference between what a lifted Rubicon on 35s or 37s can do vs a stock Sport or Sahara with a set of all terrains. Can't think of much else. Hope everyone has fun.

Nice rig, too expensive. A comparable Rubicon is $20-30k cheaper and more moddable (huge aftermarket), and honestly more capable. You're paying the extra money to for _exclusivity._ Nothing wrong with that if that's what you're into, but the average Joe won't be able to afford one for years, if not more.
