How big of a chop ? Did you leave the wood interior body structure? I have a 1929 Chevy I want to due

Oh yeah you would not do that at home it would take like a big 50 ton jack and the shops that did it had a big const building I beam to anchor the beam too that 50 ton jack would bend that beam like nothing . Anyway that's what I read on forums that the twin I beams were not to be heated and bent but if they do it then more power to them I'm not riding on them so hey 👍

Funny ...I wonder if it broke from what I read the beams are forged if you heat em up like that and bend em you just ruined the strength of the beam they need to be bent cold ...

@@MrRasZee it's probably how it's always been done but it's not the right way to do it it's all over the forums yes they used to bend them but they had to be bent cold not heated. The way that they used to do it was they would have a chain around the beam and use a big old 12 to 20-ton bottle jack under the beam you don't put heat torch on it let them do it this way .

Was anything else needed to lower the front end other than the I beam?. Can I get away with buying a lowered I beam and using all other stock parts from my 1930 ford coupe??? Thank you
