I'm getting this recommended daily, and, I'm watching it daily now. I love the way the dynamics build up in this, from a gentle stroll to a roaring fieriness around midway through, and then a tapering off (love the kind of call and resonse improv too). That kind of gradual dynamic interplay really reminds me of how OP, Ray Brown and Herb Ellis used to do it.

Mr. Rossano plays masterfully, joyfully, and with much finesse, as always! Strictly Confidential is such an underrated tune.

What a surreally beautiful arrangement, masterfully played. Thank you, Malcolm Frazer for posting this. I have the record and enjoyed the music lots of times, but seeing it conducted by the master himself brings it to a whole new level.

A superb orchestration and arrangement performed by a superb orchestra! Little did I know growing up in Cleveland, Ohio, watching the sweet and funny man Barnaby that this would inspire me to have a 50 year career in music! Thank you Malcom Frazer for posting this. Thank you to Robert Farnon, what a master orchestrator you were. And thank you Lynn Sheldon (Barnaby) for filling my young child's heart with warmth and friendship and calm! You are all in heaven now and I will join you there soon.

This is one of my faves from David. I love the other version, the solo one on this channel. I really like the block chord/drop2 kind of sound at the beginning of this over that crazy left hand; it has that kind of Dave McKenna 'three-handed' sound to it that never ceases to baffle me. Beautiful.
