I remember the first time I watched this movie. It was so long ago. I was in high school and when mom and I saw it advertised dad didn't have a chance. Now my both of my parents are gone but the love for time travel movies has never changed. I wish there were movies like this now.

That last scene is so beautiful. Their expressions … I don’t even have to describe it. It actually tears me up.

Too bad so many of these small fair type amusement parks had to close. I remember many of them in California. The Pike in Long Beach, Playland at the beach in San Francisco, Neptune's beach in Alameda, California and many others. A part of history gone forever!!!!!! 😭

I wonder how the current owners of Jay Sebrings House feel about the fact that Sharon Tate walked those grounds and actually spent many nights there with and without Jay. Perhaps she was just too good and beautiful for this world. I suppose only God knows. Lovely Tribute!

It’s sad that the original house and grounds were destroyed. But what could you possibly do with it? No one could live there. If it remained, it would have always stood empty and exploited as a symbol of evil and tragedy. No, it had to go. But that doesn’t mean that a fucking enormous hideous fortress had to replace it. I mean really, who the hell designed and financed that ghastly new structure? WTF ?!?

I love this movie. I looked for it and found it at a thrift store on DVD, a bootleg copy. Everytime I see it, it's like the first time.

I can fully understand them tearing the house down because of what happened. But to put that monstrosity up that they've got there now, no. It's near as tasteless just by existing as the original house could ever have been by enduring.
You can see at 1:39 that the wishing well cover is gone and the split rail fence that was on the edge of the grass in the front yard is gone.

The two women I can think of at that time in Los Angeles and they both ended in tragedy. Sharon Tate and Karen Carpenter. Tate's physical beauty and Karen's beautiful voice. You never get tired of looking at Sharon and you never get tired of hearing Karen's voice.

If Sharon's dad had not been restationed to Italy, in my opinion, she would have been 1960 Miss Washington.
