Baptism is for salvation according to Acts 2:38; Acts 22:16 and Mark 16:15-16.

Incorrect Notice in Acts 22:16 it says "be baptized AND wash away your sins" the washing of sin for salvation is only when you believe in Christ. Also in Acts 2:38. In Mark 16:15-16 it says believe and be baptised because belief will lead you to get baptised. Then it says if you do not believe you will be damned. Its because belief is what saves you and baptism should follow as fruit of true faith in Christ , obeying him. Baptism is not salvational but it is essential after being saved. Otherwise it would contradict Ephesians 2:8 being saved by Grace through Faith not of works. Baptism would therefore be a work if you were to do it to be saved. Rather than doing it as a sign of commitment after being saved.

Incorrect. In Matthew 28 we see the formula of baptism given. The Father, the Son, and The Holy Spirit. All beginning with "The" which is a definite article showing they are all 3 distinct persons. Jesus says this then we see later in Acts what Peter says in chapter 2:38. Peter when saying be baptised in Jesus name was most likely cause of the audience they were all devout Jews who knew the Father and his Spirit but had to learn to believe, worship and obey the One they had crucified who was Jesus Christ in order to be saved. Peter was only emphasizing salvation found in Christ in this verse. The formula for baptism should still remain as Jesus commanded in Matt 28. All praise to the Triune God. God bless
