I know MCD integrated application for digital twin simulation and I'd like work with this application but factories generally don't understand the potential of it

Hi @gb9626, the feedback to the user on the boolean operation is not entirely new but some improvements have been made. There is now also an alert in the part navigator showing that the Substract feature has not been completed with all selected tools. As this alert will remain visible to the user it helps to prevent any unwanted results of the boolean operations.

Hi ngmajid, the NX Structure Designer application can be found under the Application Ribbon within the Design Group (same group as Modeling, Sheet Metal and Shape Studio) under 'More' --> 'Structure Designer'. Alternatively you can also type 'Structure Deisgner' in the search bar at the top right of NX, the command to open up the application should then pop up. Please note that in order to use this application you need either the NX Structure Designer Add-on license or you need to have access to the NX Token licensing model.

Hi Hassan, new versions of the NX software can be downloaded directly from the Siemens Support Center: support.sw.siemens.com/. In order to access the support center you need to log in / create an account with your sold-to number and webkey access code. You can find this information in the license file supplied by either Siemens or the Siemens partner that supports you.

Hi Ronitkumar, NX Texture modeling comes standard with the NX installation starting from version 1872. It does require a convergent modeling license though in order to access it.

Hi @annabell-lo7qz, if you do not see the option where it is shown in the video. You are probably working in a different version, you will then probably find the settings under 'Import' and then 'Transport'.

Hi P M, You can save custom postures to the posture library. Before saving a posture, you must modify the posture into the desired shape by using the Adjust Joint command. To add this customized posture to human posture library, you need to save the customized posture to a posture file, create a posture library, and then add the posture file to the new library. You cannot add posture files to the default NX hand shape library. We recommend you create a new posture library before you add a posture to it. These are the steps to Save a custom posture: 1. Double-click the human model. 2. On the Edit Human dialog bar, click Custom Human . 3. In the Custom Human dialog box, from the Action list, select Export Custom Posture. 4. Click Browse . 5. In the Open Human File dialog box, specify the location and name for the posture file. 6. Click OK twice. The posture file is created in the specified location with .post file extension. Later, you can: Import the saved posture in your design. To do this, in the Custom Human dialog box, under the Action list, use the Load Custom Posture option. Add this posture file to a posture library and reuse it from the Human Posture Library command. The steps below explains how to create a posture library and add a posture to that library. 1. On the Edit Human dialog bar, click Human Posture Library . 2. Under Library, click Save As . 3. In the Posture Library dialog box, specify the name of the new posture library and the location where you want to save it. 4. Click OK. NX creates a replica of the default posture library as a new posture library with .poslib file extension. The new posture library is loaded by default in the Posture Library dialog box. Now, you can add or delete a posture from this library. 5. In the Posture Library dialog box, under Current Posture File Name, click Browse and select the new posture file that you created earlier. 6. Click Add to Library . NX adds the new posture to the library. You can select and apply this posture to any human model.

Hi Li Xiang, this functionality is not possible within MCD. This simulation model was created with Simcenter 3D Motion, the simulation platform within NX. It is possible however to use the connections/DOFs from the MCD model and transfer that to the motion simulation. There you can do more detailed analysis of the forces and accelerations occurring within the model and as an option add flexible components through Simcenter Nastran. That way you can track deformation and stresses during the motion cycle.

Hi Bharat, thank you for your comment. In NX 2206 it is indeed still possible to add this information to notes. You can do this through the General Note ribbon tab. Here you are able to select a "Feature Control Frame" to insert into your note.

Hi NGK, thank you for your reply. Perhaps we do not fully understand your question/situation as we don't know the exact details, but would it be possible to rotate the C axis? This way you can use the range of your X axis and you don’t run into the limits of the Y axis. Rotating the C axis can be done by creating a rotated coordinate system and use this to program the holes that are out of limits for the Y axis.
