Really enjoyed that. Thank you very much. Been away from Lincs for 10 years in foreign climes but coming back home soon, all being well this year. Gosberston and environs is a fantastic area.

Another fantastic tour from the village of my childhood. Henry James, "Jumbo" was my headmaster. Bill Worthington was in the shop. Often went with my Father to Ron James Blacksmith and Braybrooks for carpentry. The saddlery was at the end of Highbridge Lane where I was brought up. Great memories.

What a fantastic history tour, Thank you. I lived in Gosberton from birth and can relate to a lot of this. Sid Stafford used to cut my hair. Arty East was next door. Harold Hare from the garage I knew well. I think he also had a garage on the road to the Risegate after Belchmire Lane. I have spent many happy hours in the Public Hall both with school and afterwards. Frank Butwrights, and the Bell pub were great, As was Windsors hardware store where I believe my primary school teacher worked. I only knew her as Mrs. Windsor of course. I went to Sunday School down Salem Street and my Sister got married there as well as my Mothers Funeral was conducted. I lived down Highbridge Lane, just on the Boston road and knew Joseph and Nance Fairbanks who had the bungalow built halfway down the lane. My Sister Jane and I used to play in the foundations of the bungalow when it was being built. I left the village in 1979 when I joined the RAF but still love the occasional visit to remember. It’s still there - between the butchers and the war memorial, set back off the road, all but obscured by trees.

Great video, where was Acacia House located on the high street?

Oops, just noticed your comment! Acacia House, which still stands, is situated between the war memorial and what is now Grange Farm Butchers (previously Trevor Sharpe’s), set back from the road behind trees.
