I will never stop loving Muay Thai. Unfortunately, I am done competing. I never competed in pro, just am, and then I blew my knee out. That was a few years ago now, and I'm back training, though I think my competition days are done. I will never stop training. Right now I'm getting into more Muay Chaiya, and hopefully, one day, I can train Krabi Krabong. And a note to you fighters who are active and young: you never know when your career, or even your life, will be over. Treasure every moment, even if you're in hell and feel like dying from the training.

Highly recommended gym. I went to train in Dec 2019. The gym is big and the instructors are very professional and attentive to details. If you are looking to book for condos or villas to stay near this gym , you can visit my Phuket holiday rental page at airbnb.com/h/savvy-holidays-2 or airbnb.com/h/saturdays.

@@8limbedwarriornakmuay175 blindness. Rodtang got outclassed and complained the whole time cause he couldn't land anything. Walter's slips are on point and connected more significant blows. Hit and don't get hit is the name of the game and rodtang lost the mind games instead just trying to slug it out but who's the real tactician here? Rodtang was frustrated fighting him. Walter was robbed that fight and he's a newer fighter too.

First tip should be: run every bloody day, just like the Thai fighters do. Not just twice per week!

Oh dear. He asked to include in atleast two days of 100, 400 meter sprints. Run every day way 1.
@majinemsi25833 жыл бұрын
Not a single time in the entire video does Tim explicitly say “run every day” nor does he explicitly say “train your fitness every day” and that’s a problem because if you assume that running 100 or 400 metre sprints a minimum of twice per week will give you the bare minimum level of fitness necessary to compete in Muay Thai, then you are absolutely wrong. It is very common practice for Thai nakmuay to go for a long run in the early morning, train, and then another long run in the late afternoon and train again and they’ll do this daily. THAT is the bare minimum level of effort Thai trainers will expect of you before thinking you have any chance winning a fight in the ring. And by “long run” I mean a minimum of 5km. So basically 10km per day. Every day. How the hell can you compare “run sprints a minimum of twice per week” to that? If you’re not gonna be precise in your tips then why bother?
@RevolutionGymThailand3 жыл бұрын
@@majinemsi2583 Sorry if I was not clear, when said two decent runs i meant long runs, 10km with hills. My fighters run twice a day and most of them are Thai. The main point i was trying to express was run often and I am a believe in sprints, 400s and stairs awell a couple long runs.

Foreigner gym!! How come you don't show real Thai?? Where's Ajarn Monlet?? All Thai left kem alot of fighter!!
@sitsongpeenongphuket4 жыл бұрын
Edwin this is a video to show the gym, it's on English so you can understand it because you are a foreigner. Monlit works in Bangkok Sitsongpeenong and always has. Kem has had his own gym for 5 years. We have 9 Thai trainers 6 of the 9 are former champions. Sagadpet, Sayannoi, Yodvisanu, Hansuk, Pettawee and Penthai. We have four Thai boys that fight in Bangkok and abroad and another 6 or 7 that fight locally. Yes, you will find many foreign fighters and foreign guests learning muay-thai because we have people from all over the world train with us.
This is awesome. I’m sort of worried by people who think they don’t need to run though. The last two fights I had I win purely because I put in shitloads of roadwork. It was twenty years ago, but this video makes me want to fight again.

What program did you use to create that great video?
@leila18 жыл бұрын
I filmed on a canon 7d. Edited and colour corrected with Final Cut Pro. There is a shot in there which is a timelapse which involves taking a series of pictures wih equal intervals of time i.e. 90sec between each photograph, then later you import as an image sequence into After Effects making it look like it's sped up footage. I tried to colour correct using colour which is an add on to final cut pro but my computer couldn't handle everything that was going on. Normally prefer to colour correct with After Effects though.
