Is it better than a lighter non plated superblast as a super trainer that can go fast, go easy and go long? That is the question.

@@RunningWithDusty I never tried the version 1. I have the new balance SC trainer V2 but I’m liking the Mizuno wave rebellion flash V2 the best so far, much better bounce than the new balance at least for me.

This is Metaspeed Edge Paris, not Sky Paris.. check out Kofuzi shorts on how to easily spot the difference. Sky Paris outsole is black and transition line on yellow/ black on mid sole wall points downwards. On other hand, Edge Paris has red/ pink sole and transition line parallel to sole

Thanks for this very clear, concise and insightful (impressive after just a few runs). May I ask how this compares with the Mizuno Wave Flash 2? I own these and I am using them for daily runs : they truly take time to get accustomed to - they are well balanced but one is first to understand how - but become highly rewarding and a true pleasure to run in after a while...

I loved my Cloudsurfer until it started to make squeaky sound (only 3 months into wearing the shoe and only used it for walking when travel overseas.) Called On Cloud's customer rep and none of the solutions they offer help in making the the squeaky sound disappear... very disappoint for the price I paid for the shoe

@@RunningWithDusty hahaha i guess I should have said "I'm looking for new shoes to try to replace my Bondi 8" lol. They are great, especially for my plantar fasciitis. They just weren't the most durable. After trying on the Invincible 3 and feeling how comfortable they were, wanted to see what else was out there
@RunningWithDusty
@RunningWithDusty 19 күн бұрын
The Eclipse will be most similar of the 3 to the Bondi with the Surfer being the most soft feeling. You might be fine in the Surfer, but that is the least supportive of the 3 and I would be concerned it might not address your plantar issues.. I'd personally go Eclipse. I think I would find the Invincible to be too squishy for standing/walking for 12 hrs

i got a Speedo vanquisher 2 on amazon, and the cup is too small... i think my lashes rub on the inside. Also the narrowest nose bridge is still too wide for my eyes. What should I get instead? The cup style is perfect i thought the old pair i have was a speedo vanquisher 2 based on the look, but the cups on the old ones are bigger. The only reason I was even looking for a new pair is the nose bridge that my old pair has which is what it had from a garage sale is too wide. Would love some ideas on what to get.

So what was the impression???
@ivarbratberg6727
@ivarbratberg6727 23 күн бұрын
Very interesting, I was thinking about to a similar exercise myself, also would be interesting to see how the performance decrease with the mileage. One question I have though is this: Power is calculated from the movement of the shoe, not the effort of the runner. So if a good shoe would just give the same movement for a lower effort, you would not see the difference. I think the explanation must be that Stryd is able to detect the energy coming back because of the spring effect, and to differ that from the effort of the runner. I do not think this is 100% reliable, so I was very surprised that for you it gave very realistic results.

How do you find the reduced volume from tri to running has affected your performance at all? Also has your nutrition changed?
@RunningWithDusty
@RunningWithDusty Ай бұрын
Reduced volume from tri to running has been incredible. I am putting in more run training volume now vs running during triathlon training, but overall weekly training hours are obviously much lower now that I'm only (mostly) running. This has made my energy levels MUCH better than when I'm tri training. Performance wise, it seems like every month I reach a new level with my run fitness. This has definitely been a result of being able to run more with not having to swim/bike. Nutrition hasn't really changed. Honestly, I usually have to make sure I'm eating enough so that I don't get too light.
@laurenmillyx

@@RunningWithDusty thank you this is really helpful! I’m actually coming at it from a different angle. I am a distance runner but got injured last autumn and cross trained (bike and ARC trainer) for around 4 months. I think I felt like I had to do so much more becuase I wasn’t running and got up to 18-20hours! Now I am back running but running only 4 days and much lower mileage (around 55-60km compared to 90-110km i used to do) so still do around 12 hours of XT (ARC trainer and bike - all aerobic not hard stuff) but wondering if this is hampering my performance? And interesting from the nutrition side of view - i was worried with less training hours I would have to eat less?

I’ve been doing the runner’s loop with my VF ever since and yes, no heel slippage. However, on my last run wearing the cielo x1 with the ugly laces, doing the runner’s loop made the top part of my foot, where I do tying the laces, painful. Maybe a bit too tight? How do I go with preventing possible heel slippage and not making the top of the foot painful without doing the loop tightly?! Is there any other way to tie the laces to prevent heel slippage?

I really can't tell what the issue is with my feet.. I used to run and it wouldn't bother me so much. Maybe it's all the years wearing converse haha. But now the arches of my feet, and the outer blade burn when I run! Eventually my foot goes numb and I can tollerate it. But obviously that's not sustainable long term. I do have a wider foot and tend to wear mens running shoes. Maybe I'm lacing my shoes too tight to try and keep them in place... I'll try the parallel running lace in combo with the runners loop.. Maybe that'll help to ease the burning..
