Was going to call this out as fake, as a Celeron wouldn't run this resolution this well, then I realized it's actually just upscaled. I had a Voodoo 3 when Oblivion came out and ran the graphics a lot higher than this. Had to have the tree and grass detail turned down a bit though until I got a better card. I did have a much, much faster processor and more ram though. :P

@@TehButterflyEffect I played in windowed mode and used Vegas pro to zoom in. My capture device doesn't like games at low resolutions so have to play in windowed mode.

This is what game optimization supposed to look like! You may literally play this game on this piece of trash even for back-then-date-standards, and still be able to operate. Yes, the graphics looks terrible, and the map loads just behind your eyes, but it’s still playable. Moreover, lot’s of gamers back then played this on specs like that if not lower…

@@helo9316 I have over 20+ computers, so I could have done it on a better PC, but I did say if this video got over 1k views, I would do the whole main quest and I was curious if the PC could handle making it to the end. I recently got a Zotac Nvidia GeForce GT 610 512MB 64BIT DDR3 (fastest GPU for the PCI slot) I have wondered how the game would run with that GPU and I did upgrade the CPU to a Pentium III, but only got a extra 50MHz and it was a fun experience. I do plan on doing another playthrough of another game on this rig once I have more free time. :)

I like your channel (and your aesthetics) but i just realized that this activity also has real practical value. Running newer software on older hardware like this is the perfect way to showcase the true efficiency of code and by extension the talent of the devs. Clearly the original torchlight devs were masterful

@@Hazel1312 when I did my play through on this rig I only experienced one crash when going through a Oblivion gate. I was worried Dagon would have crashed it as well, luckily it didn't.
