Extended explanation, providing the shooter with cover. Will you always encounter a threat standing in the open? You fight how you train. It is not ego....it is life and death.

IPSC is a shooting sport. In Australia we dont train to use firearms for self defence :-)

It's important not to excessively beat yourself up over your mistakes and bad days. It's counterproductive and makes you feel like shit. Take a couple days off training and dry fire to clear your head before going back to review your footage so you can look at it dispassionately and plan your next steps with a clear head. You'll bounce back.
