I just watched the most honest heart-felt and memorable moment I've ever witnessed in music. "And even as a dope fiend Mama, you still were a Black Queen, Mama." Gotdamn right- Pop's always told me that we only get one and that love is unlike any other love we'll know. At 4:18, the greatest performance was delivered through absolute adversity, the way he dialed in and hit his target- that was his mama's hand on him at that very moment. Trill recognize trill, and here's yet another one out of Motown. Gotdamn Brother, I shed tears to how beautiful your love for your dear mother remains regardless of her shortcomings and I appreciate how you hold yourself accountable for the dirt you did in those same streets as well. May your beautiful mother rest in peace she may not have been able to obtain in life, I definitely will be listening Brother, "1".

This one looks to me like Lincoln Memorial, an astonishing array of improvised crazy melodies. It's really a rollercoaster of a performance in which you see clearly why Sipe and Herring were born to play together as Jimmy himself always says, The first time they played (With Oteil too), It went for 8 hours and they started to live together and create music just in that moment. These guys together are pure magic 🙂

I was privileged to see these guys perform at the Cat's Cradle in Carrboro NC. It's a small venue so I was maybe 20 feet from the stage. One of the most mind blowing displays of improvisational musicianship I've ever seen. Thanks for uploading this.

I heard about Hero The Band this year and astounds me that there music isn't more popular. Definitely need better management. Hope they continue to succeed.

Saw project z as a trio (herring, Keller, sipe) fall 2001 harper's ferry, Boston. Kids next to me from Berklee were astonished at the clinic herring was putting on. It was really a fun night. Rip Ricky Keller. You were a wild man and we lost you too soon.

I remember the day I learned Ricky died. Sad day, and I had just seen them rehearse a week earlier in Georgia. RIP Ricky Keller
