The truth is that the majority of the people have to wake up and take back their country by embracing patriotism, having a teamwork spirit and being solution-oriented. You talk about Nigeria not working and being divided is the way forward (i .e. every tribe taking their affairs into their hands) but the truth is that a monotonous society doesn’t guarantee peaceful coexistence and prosperity. Two very good examples are Arabs and the Somalis. The former don’t give a flying hoot what happens to their brothers in other geographical locations (e.g. the Palestinian plight and the way it’s Arab neighbors have all kept quiet), while the latter live in the same country yet they have been killing each other for the past 20 years. A few more examples can be seen in the acrimonious relationships between Russia and Ukraine who’re not just neighbors but brothers, also consider China and Taiwan, North Korea and South Korea, India and Pakistan (who by the way used to be one people living in the same country). I hope you’re getting the picture. As far as Nigeria is concerned, God has ordained it to be a very diverse nation. What’s left for Nigerians now is to figure out how to make the best use of the situation. You can’t just keep complaining and comparing yourself with advanced countries. It’s like a handicapped person or a person born with disability giving up on life and just complaining everyday to God that they’re disadvantaged when compared to normal people. That’s not a healthy way to live. What the people choose to make of the situation is left to them. The current president is just one individual and all he did was to take advantage of the lapses in the country and the lackluster patriotism amongst Nigerians to secure the presidential seat. Of course he will account for his decisions and policies one day with God but God will not and will NEVER come down from heaven to help Nigeria. It is left to Nigerians to organize themselves and either go for referendum (which will probably mean shooting themselves in the foot) or be patient with one another and swallow the seemingly bitter pill of loving their neighbor like themselves even if they’re from a different tribe. The struggle starts from within (i.e. mindset) and it is more powerful than changing anything physical. Once the judges can fight their inner battles and stop being diabolic with the judgments they pass in the courts, and instead start operating with righteousness and conviction, things will get better. The system is there already, it’s just the demons that need to change themselves from within or they should be changed by the people!
