getting shield first when youre low hp could be also a good use of deception to make your opponent think youre fully healed and make them not prioritize you in team fights giving you more chances for survival since they cant really tell if youre fully heal or not unless they damaged you personally and chased you down and saw you use shield plus no one uses ibara and shigi gamma rarely catches you

If it's any consolation, both Cuthbert and Imamura already confirmed that none of these endings are canonical and that a sequel would likely take place during the climax of the events in Command. I think instead of scrapping this portion of the main Star Fox timeline (since the SNES and Zero/Battle for Atlas are separate timelines) a retelling of the war against the Anglar could work. Plus the writers can give Fox more justification to dissolve Star Fox like a mission going horribly wrong or signing a contract with a terrorist cell that is trying to overthrow General Pepper as retaliation for the civilian casualties in Venom's invasion (something that a fanmade Star Fox game incorporated called Event Horizon).
