Compliment of the season Mike K. Baindu’s Drive looks clean and beautiful. I left Freetown on 8th of November. I would have loved to say hello but you were not making videos during my visit. Thank you for what you do. Vloging in Freetown is a nightmare and jet you do it with calm and grace. Please show Rosetta Drive Mallama Juction. Coming from Lumley beach you will make a right turn to Rosetta Drive. Our home is at the junction where you will see a massive side work. Follow the newly constructed side work to the end.

Yes a lot of similarities

Some of the Maroons from Jamaica 🇯🇲 are the 3rd batch of freed slaves to enter Freetown, the capital of Sierra Leone 🇸🇱.

What are some of the similarities between the two countries?
@ClamiorplayКүн бұрын
Oh yes, so the modern day Krios, even those with Yoruba middle names also have maroon heritage from jamaica?
@mikek9085Күн бұрын
@@Clamiorplay No, those are the returnees. They were three sets of freed slaves. They are the Nova Scotians, the maroons and the returnees. The returnees were majority Nigerians of Yoruba descent. That why most krios do have Yoruba middle names. Those from Ghana also have Ghanian middle names.

Thanks Mike K! Is the campaign more about making people aware or looking for tougher laws to address the issue?
@mikek9085Күн бұрын
Welcome sir. We already have tougher laws but some people don’t aware of them, because of the high level of illiteracy rate in the country. So the campaign is for them to aware of the laws and also give them reasons why they should not rape and act violently against women and children.

I applaud you, Mike for joining the women in their campaign against [sexul violence and physical abuse]. The critical question, however is: Will you sum-up the same courage to join those who are genuinely asking for Koneh (the thieving electoral commissioner), to produce the "data" for the [June 24, 2023] presidential election? An answer to this pressing question will show whether you have a [conscience or not?).

@mikek9085 Oh Mike! I heard you loud and clear. I know exactly what you mean.. But know this: nothing last forever. Evil has an expiry date. Kingdoms fall and dictatorship has an end-date. Thus, make sure you don't profit from the corrupt proceeds of any government. God is watching all of us and he said: "vengeance is mine, I will repay."

You're right about the dogs nowadays being calm in Salone. I've noticed that too. But in my childhood days back in the late 70s, they were aggressive & I got bitten frequently & a lot 😂

Wonder why they construct roads and not think of where pedestrians would walk. How will a mother with a buggy navigate this road or how will a child on a scooter do the same. This is risk to falling.

Mike K! Thanks for this video coverage. I'm somewhat familiar with some of the areas you covered along Black Hall Road. My parents have a property on Kargbo Lane since the mid 70s & it's still there. As for Africanos Road, I spent my last few months there before departing Sierra Leone as small boy in the late 70s. I left there for Lungi & the rest was history. Well-done 👍
