Great video bro! I was actually at the same track day as you guys with my 25' Elantra N. You guys have an insane build. Looking forward to seeing you guys back at THill.

Great lap! I really I really like that camera angle. Are you using a special mount for the helmet?

It’s the Boss Boss mount for GoPro! I strongly suggest getting stronger tape for it and making sure the visor surface is really clean.

Better to bend a tie rod than to bend a cradle or frame.

Better to know how to drive and stay on the track.
@huzudra Жыл бұрын
@@Formaldehydex That's why tracks have runoff areas, part of going on track is going off track. It's a safer learning environment. I'd rather see someone go off track and bend a tie rod then go off road and bend their whole car around a pole and die. Even F1 drivers go off track, I'm pretty sure they know how to drive.
@Formaldehydex Жыл бұрын
@@huzudra Going off track during a track day is so discouraged that you usually only get one warning at most. If it happens again, even sometimes in different events, you are told to pack up and go home. But knowing this would mean you actually know the facts, instead of spewing uneducated drivel,
@huzudra Жыл бұрын
@@Formaldehydex As I said, making mistakes is part of learning. If you never make mistakes you're not learning. Clearly you must be a bot. Going off track for the purpose of overtaking is what's frowned upon. Taking a corner too hard or misjudging a hill with a corner on the other side or in some way unsettling your suspension at the wrong point and going off track in an accidental manner during a session happens to everyone at one time or another. It happens in amateur and it happens in professional racing. If everyone who ever went off track got banned from each track they went off at then there'd be no one on any track ever anywhere because they'd all be banned.
@Formaldehydex Жыл бұрын
@@huzudra This is a track day, not a race. There is no required safety equipment other than a helmet. The fact that he bent the tie rod so badly meant that he could have even rolled because he was going so quickly and the wheel struck something substantial. It appears to be a badly deteriorated side road that is no longer used, or possibly a concrete pad. You are totally clueless and have no idea whatsoever how track days are run and what is completely discouraged. He also could have easily taken out the car behind him that he was likely trying to make sure he didn’t need to allow to pass, which is also against the safety rules. Did you even pay attention to the audio? “This is watch mojo and today we are counting down our picks for the 10 most stupid people”.

How do you do that first corner
@likeabossgaming0460 Жыл бұрын
press hard on brake coming in hugging far wall, as you approach apex, ease of brakes and full thottle our of corner but adjust as needed so you backend doesn't slip to much so that the kart doesnt need to fire up again. That works for me but I still slip a little too much sometimes. Probably better ways to do it

That’s wild! I went to East a couple weeks ago in my NB2 and only managed a slow 2:20.5 with old 205 RT660s, alright brakes, and cheapish coilovers. I feel like my car has at 2:15 in it with more seat time and driver mod though. What’s your suspension, brakes, and tire setup?
@mergesortracing Жыл бұрын
I have Ohlins Road & Track coilovers with 7k and 10k springs, along with SPL tie rods. Gives me a good amount of camber adjustment. For brakes, on the fronts I have the Wilwood BBK with DTC-30 pads all four corners. For wheels/tires, I run 15x9 Konig Dekagrams with 205/50/15 RE-71RS tires for this lap. I now normally just run 225 RS4's to reduce my costs.
