Hello, can I ask a question? I was watching some of your Punk Genere videos and it got me thinking... What type of Punk Genre asthetics are shows like the "misadventures of flapjack" or other stereotypical vaugely 1800 to 1900s sailor settings in stories. Sorry I didn't know the name of any more examples but flapjack is probably the best example I knew.
@NylasWUP21 күн бұрын
Closest would probably be Oceanpunk or island punk but its not really a one to one and my experience with flab jack is seeing it once in an ER years ago. So not an authority on it

Is the or can the Raypunk genre be mostly human-centric? Like would a raypunk adventure with human and droid heroes and villains, no aliens whatsoever work. Sort of a retro futuristic and more optimistic cyberpunk. Would that be accurate and maybe cooler?

Lately, I've noticed a huge wave of nostalgia-driven aesthetics making a comeback, and I recently came across Frutiger Aero. It’s such an interesting vibe to explore-bright, clean, and almost dreamlike in its polished, optimistic look. For those unfamiliar, Frutiger Aero was a dominant aesthetic in the 2000s, marked by shiny gradients, bubbly icons, and tech-inspired designs that felt futuristic yet playful. It’s wild to think about how different it is compared to the gritty or raw vibes often associated with other nostalgic aesthetics. This shift back to something so polished feels like a reaction to how minimal and flat modern design has become. What are your thoughts on this? It would make a cool video!
@NylasWUPАй бұрын
Didn’t know that asthenic had a name. I like it but I’ll admit it’s not really my taste as I like the rawer grungier looks. I do agree “modern” looks are way too streamlined and minimal. So any push back is great. As for a future episode I haven encountered a punk genre that’s claimed that aesthetic as its own except for maybe Seapunk which I’ve already done a video on. But if that changes or someone submits one to me. Yeah sure I would be down.

Been really into Apes of the State lately. Especially Plate Glass Apology and I shot a Gun Today. They're a little more positive than most Folk Punk Bands. I've been going between them, We The Heathens and the Railyard Ghosts. I'm an old Punk. I'm 44. Only found this Genre like 5 years ago. Saw Days n Daze on a whim one night. Immediately hooked. Been to A LOT of shows over the last 30 years and it was the most fun I had in a LONG time.

Okay okay okay I just heard about this and I need to have some stuff awnsered so please somebody😭 Okay so first: do you need to be LGBTQ+ (smt) to be part of this? Second: is there a time of music tide to it (for some reason) Third(if 1 is awnser no):can I be a voidpunk because I don't feel completely human (I am alterhuman too so I know that. But I feel like something unknown) Third (when the awnser is yes): can somebody explain how its called to not fall on anyone except your own characters. And if there in a name for that. Four: I'm a Cristian whit this kind of feeling would that be a problem? Five: how big is this community and how can I best approach this? Thank you for your time to reply to my questions here is a kookie🍪

1. No you just have to be felt left out by society feel like an other 2. Probably. Srry that’s up to you to look up. 3 yep alterhuman works as well. 4. Up to you I’m also a person of faith and can’t answer that for you. 5. Last time I checked in on this one fairly large and tumbler but it’s been a while so search around see what you find.

I really like the idea of "Nightmare on Elm Street" being dream punk. It got a deam world, the collective unconscious, lucid dreaming, tapping into memories. In the 2009 remake, they had Freddy be able to influence your sleep deprived hallucinations and attack during microsleeps. If I'm remembering right, the Freddy in "Wes Craven's New Nightmare" was basically a tulpa.
@edmonblackmouth27432 ай бұрын
The movie "Strange World" seems solarpunk. The characters maximize the uses of their space, utilized a source of energy that they can farm, making buildings out of wood, ect. The kids in the movie are into a Settlers of Catan style game. Kinda a spoiler | | The idea that Earth is a living organism some eco-warriors believe is taken to the extreme near the end of the movie.
