With BoneMass done and silver gear equipped, at least going back into the swamp is much easier, and you will be going back into the swamp over the playthrough 😂😂👍👍

Very interesting Base setup. Yes focus on defeating Bonemass, before going into the mountains; as you really need the thing Bonemass drops to make any progress. Are you farming? Don't forget, Black Forest, Swamps (and Mountains) all have seeds for you to find. Carrots, Turnips, Onions.

good job on getting your stuff back =) dont know if you allready did but dont forget to craft the iron nails! it gives addidtional recipes. and dont forget to build the new forge upgrades (near the forge) so you can upgrade your stuff further (you probably know that yourself. just saying it in case you forgot cause it doesnt show in the video) and DONT try the third boss without poison resist mead!!!!!!!!

oh, and another trick, you can actually jump on crypts to shoot ennemies from a higher ground ... I got out of some bad situations like that :)

I'm also struggling in the swamps myself right now... so let me give you a little piece of advice I learnt tonight... Draugr ... are immune to fire... saw you shooting them with fire arrows... even my flinthead arrows do more damage...

Good job! Happy you got back your stuff and you got your first iron. Assuming you didn't change the resource rate; Iron, you'll need lots of it. More than 100 for sure. So I hope that swamp has several Sunken Crypts; then that road will be *really* handy! One very big point of criticism though: YOU ARE NOT USING POISON RESIST POTIONS, AT ALL! One suggestion: Learn to parry; for Bonemass (and skeletons/slimes) blunt damage is the best; so having an (upgraded) iron mace in combination with a shield, will be your best friend in the Swamps. And in most languages (including mine), "Papa" means daddy. So, basically, you had to ask your Daddy to help you out? 🤣 And I see you are cheesing on the bridge. 😝

I've always wondered why people have already frost mead but have never seemed to hear of poison mead.

Let me clear my mind after a troll attack that killed my cattle. Let me go to Mointains.... oh dude, you really have some interesting way to deal with troubles by searching for some even worse trouble.

As I'm sure you know, most of the frustration in the swamps is learning how things work. Coming back as an experienced player, it really isn't that difficult. Plains is where difficulty ramps up a bit more than your top level gear and food can match, and the Mistlands is completely out of whack. I honestly HATE the Mistands.

Get your food prepared, poison potions are a must & have a portal without a name at your base so you can just throw one down when you get to the swamp. Also learn to block, dead useful against that annoying archer and trolls! I would like to say it gets easier but I'm on Ashlands now...and it doesn't! Have fun. 🤣🤣🤣

Even before defeating the elder you can just get some fire arrows and get the root armor. It provides a lot of protection, just try not to get to close to draugr spawners. Even the plains is really safe if youbgave the root armor, you can just run away from the goblins. But the mistlands... I had a fully upgraded armor set and I got completely destoryed in the mistlands. Having to fight multiple seekers at the same time, running from 2 star seekers without seeing anything, horrible. That's whem I enabled devcommands. I kinda regret doing that, because I coule have used world modifiers to make the game easier, and at least get my stuff back without loosing more gear.

You think that was bad ? Wait till you get to the plains and the biomes after that one. 1 word of warning: Deathsquitos. When you hear the buzzing, it's already too late 😜👍.

Ending was quite hilarious. When you were aiming at the bow of your boat, I could already predict what was going to happen. Maybe bring some healing potions next run? Also if you manage to kill some abominations, you can craft a decent chest piece protecting against archers.

Finding silver on the mountains early really helps in the swamps silver shield hammer and cape really helps.

bro, you gotta stop with that logout stuff. just ruins your fun and its very enoying to watch. if you take a L just take a L. its no big deal. its a hard game. everybody died before. you can turn the raids off and on in the server options (i sometimes turn them off if i know that im just building for the next couple of hours and dont want to get ennoyed while doing so). keep in mind that the raids get harder every time you slay the next boss. so if you dont feel ready for it (or dont feel that your base is prepared enough) dont slay the next boss. preparation is key! maybe ask a friend to play with you if you easily get frustrated in such games (its more or less designed to play with multiple people). dont go into mountains if you have trouble in the swamps (mountains is a higher tier biome than swamps). in general just go to the biome that is next up because they get exponatially harder. otherwise you wont have much fun. dont try to get your stuff back without preparation (especially not bare handed), that includes having a clear plan (a strategy so to speak). dont just go there and hope for the best. that will only work if you are very lucky (dont bet on luck...that goes for everything in life) keep an eye on the ranged enemys. you can parry arrows too (and you can block them of course). so no need to blindly zig zag around especially when you dont have much room to work with (like on a boat) edit: if you want to land on swamps directly then ALWAYS instantly build a workbench next to your boat so you can repare it easily

I think everybody who played Valheim for the first time will have had similar experiences/frustrations. Because Valheim is *not* a game where you just can brute force your way through. I know I had very similar experience the first time I played Valheim. I have had trolls destroy my base as well, in my first playthrough. I've had countless dead runs to the swamps as well, in my first playthrough. Also you should *not* enter other biomes like mountains until you're ready. Without the proper armor, most beasties will one-shot you. These are all things you have learned now. The importance of being careful and being prepared. If I were you, i'd take a short break and restart in a new world. So that the raids and all are disabled again and you can take your time setting up a base. I'd rebuilt a base, keeping raids in mind. Meaning earth walls or a moat. I'd ensure I get proper armor in the bronze age. And when it's time to go to the swamps, I wouldn't be an idiot trying to enter the swamps on a boat!!! I would find a peaceful biome NEXT to the swamp, to put my portal down and a lill' house. Also for your sanity, in the new world I suggest in 'world parameters' you turn on resource rate to 1.5 or even 2.0, since you're playing alone and you're relatively new. This will save you a lot of time grinding for resources. but you *must* remember that every new biome, the difficulty level increases a lot and beasties can/will beat the crap out of you, unless you've tackled food/potions/armor from the current biome you're in, or you've become a master in dodge rolling/parrying.

first try on the boss.... nice one =) evoiding the punishment for death by exploitng it is kind of cheating. but its essentially a single player game if you play alone. so who cares. just play in a way that is most fun for you. that is what gaming is about, having fun ;) but if you start to use actual cheats (like using the console) then i will stop watching. because that would just be boring to watch.

Me and a friend are still in the Bronze Age, and he thinks it'd be a good idea to build a watchtower to snipe trolls, though I don't know how useful it would be? 🤔 Digging a moat is most effective, though it looks alittle ugly for the little farmstead we have 🙃

hey man, don't know how much you've progressed since this video but i recommend getting the bronze atgeir as a weapon for the greydwarfs, they love to surround you and it's secondary attack does a big aoe spin around you hitting all of them, it's definitely helped me with base defence and adventuring!

XDXD the boar chase/lure was nice. smal tip: you can place bee hives on walls if you want to (e.g. on the walls you just built around your base)

a few more little tips: 1)if you have both boars in the same room (while they are well and fed) they will reproduce 2) if you hold strg and click on an item (or a stack of items) while a chest is open it will automatically store the item/stack into the chest (so no need to drag and drop everything) 3) if you hold shift and click on a stack you can split the stack 4) if you hold E when looking at a chest it will automatically store every item from your inventory into the chest that is allready in there. for example: if you have 20 wood in your inventory and the chest you are looking at allready has wood in it then you only have to hold E while looking at it and it will store all you wood into the chest i dont want to spoil anything for you so i hope it was ok that i mentioned that the boars can reproduce. if it wasnt ok then just let me know and i will only give tips that you asked for or that have to do with systems (like point 2-4) in the future =)

to get honey from it you have to destroy it. it will drop a little honey but more important it will drop the bee queen. with the bee queen you can build your own bee hive wich will generate honey for you (you can collect honey from it from time to time). the bee hive (that you built yourself) can store up to 4 honey so make sure to check it regulary. infinite honey! ;) edit: oh didnt see that somebody allready told you i can maybe add that you shouldn build it directly in the middle of your base. they will not attack you or anything like that but the sound of the bees can get anoying after a while
