Thank you for the video! I'm currently studying for compTIA A+ certification. This video gave me hope that it would be worth the investment I'm making. I am about halfway through the course for the core 1 exam. I'm turning 30 next year, and I've explored a plethora of career paths, from counseling psychology to spanish interpretation to retail management to sales rep to software engineering, among many others. I'm just so exhausted with bouncing between careers every other year, and I'm ready to settle into something I enjoy, and that pays well. For the last year, I've been working as a slot technician for a casino, and the material I've learned in core 1 has a lot of overlap with my current job. I mainly do hardware troubleshooting and installation work, but I've been trying to get more training on software. While i mostly enjoy the work i do for the casino, I'm simply not making the kind of money i need to live the life that i want. I'm thankful they gave me a chance at this because my resume was full of almost nothing but retail work. Unlike other people who did have computer science or even IT backgrounds, I've literally had to learn everything from scratch. I'm still trying to decide on what specifically i want to do in IT, but I think something that would be a natural transition from the hardware troubleshooting centric stuff i currently do would make sense.

Hi! I'm currently doing the 100 devs coding bootcamp with Leon. I'm on class 4 at the moment. My question is, how did you get a web developer job in 3 months if the BootCamp is 30 weeks long, almost 7 months?

Greetings, I love you, I am applying for the IT support engineer position, but I do not want to go physically and perform transactions with physical devices such as servers, etc., rather, we only perform all operations through the given computer, right? It says hybrid in the ad, but I don't want to do physical work, do you do it?

Simple answer: Yes, it will help you land a job. Which it's a foot in the door. Then you got to study and grown on your own. So you can get a better job

I just joined today and I’m so excited, Leon seems really awesome we haven’t actually spoken but I’ve watched some interviews and I think what he’s doing is so admirable and I finally feel like I have a chance to really learn. I’ve been doing self paced free courses but I’ve really wanted something live and instructor led with real classmates I could interact with, so I feel as though 100 devs will be a game changer for me. I don’t have money for a bootcamp and I really thought I was shit outta luck until coming across 100 devs, I’m super excited!

I think my problem all my life has been that I do have TECH skills but not the "soft" skills. That makes it impossible to get the "entry level". Getting more and more technically qualified gets me more and more screwed.

Thanks DOM, I really needed to hear this! I was torn between 100 Devs, The Odin Project, and Free Code Camp. Having someone from a CS background like you give an honest review really helped me make a wise decision. You proved the adage again: What a man can do, a woman can do better (lol). I've had to wade through countless reviews on Reddit and KZbin, but yours stood out to me. You offered a clear and insightful assessment that I could really relate to.

I have a Network certification already and I'm telling you humans that learning all the functionality of the cloud will not be done in 10 days, you can memorize the services, but you "NEED" to know the functionality of these services. If you don't know any networking you will not be effective on a job.

I needed this so bad! Wanting to pivot into tech and nervous about how I will study and retain. First class I took was a combo class for all the CompTIA certs online, I got through Hardware and software, but didn’t make it to Network and Cybersecurity. 😪😪😪 I’m beating myself up about not finishing the class, but it was a PAIN and I was distracted constantly.

Thank you for this video! I am currently learning about certificates and I feel embarrassed to admit that I didn't know about them before. I have seen many job opportunities that I am qualified for, but I was unaware of the available courses because I never paid attention due to my ADHD and scattered brain. Thank you for this video and for inspiring me. ❤️I think it’s a sign to finally get started🙏🏽

Appreciate the video. I know this video is a bit old but do you have to be one of the 100devs to learn from this program? I watched Leon’s first 2 3hr sessions on this via KZbin but had to stop after he said I needed a zip file which I can’t access. 😢. Love the program tho

Can you elaborate on why you can't access a zip file? Maybe we can help you. They also have a discord that can surely help you out with that.
